The house sleeps 4-6 guests, all beds have comfortable mattresses. Main bedroom has 1 Queen bed with a dresser, two end tables, and walk-in closet. Back bedroom has full size bed with a dresser and closet space. Front sitting room has a day bed with a trundle and built in cabinets with a desk and walk-in closet. Free-standing gas fireplaces in living room and kitchen, electric heat in bathroom. Carpeted floors throughout, vinyl plank floor in kitchen and back hall. 10 ft. ceilings in main rooms, full bath, deep tub for soaking and a large walk in shower. New fridge/freezer, range/stove, washer and dryer. 42 inch HDTV with cable service and free WIFI, bring computer for your office away from home. Fenced-in front and back yard. Property has 3 parking places in the front of the house. The carriage house can be used to lock smaller sport gear like kayaks, skis, snowboards, bikes, etc. Lighted patio area with gas grill in back by the carriage house. Our house is three blocks from downtown BV directly on the Bike route (bike rental 3 blocks) but away from traffic and noise. Enjoy the peacefulness of watching birds and the deer coming by for a visit. The kitchen is fully furnished with charming vintage appeal. This home is 130 years old with many original features and a storied history of past Presidents vacationing there (Truman and Eisenhower).

Quaint and charming home that has a heart. Some may find it a little dated but we enjoyed it very much. Great location, great owner, would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Roman house. The location was perfect! We enjoyed the historic charm and history of the house. Cabinets were all labeled which was very helpful!

We had a lovely stay in this charming Victorian-era home. Everything we needed was provided. The host was very responsive. The location is fantastic within walking distance of everything in downtown Buena Vista. Highly recommend!

The house was absolutely adorable — it truly felt like stepping back in time to a simpler, cozier era. Every detail had so much charm, and we instantly felt at home the moment we arrived. The yard was perfect for our dogs to run around and relax, which made the stay even more special for us. The location couldn’t have been better — super convenient to restaurants, shops, and anything you might need, while still feeling peaceful and tucked away. Our host was incredibly welcoming and made everything easy from start to finish. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, charming getaway!

Great Location! Great parking, loved the decor very cool kind of 50’s chic. Host is very intentional with having things for guests to do. Kitchen was well stocked. Great neighborhood it felt very safe.

Lovely Location Close to Town

This home is perfect for a stay in Buena Vista. The location was great, it’s close to the downtown and everything is very walkable. We had an absolutely wonderful time and honestly wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing dog friendly place clise to skiing and the best recreation. Host is fantastic and great about communication. Excellent host. We love coming here to stay.

Have stayed here multiple times. Cute house, great yard. Kitchen has great equipment and spices. Owner is nice and easy to communicate with. Short walk to downtown, and easy access to trails. Dog loves it too.

Great location and accommodation!

We loved how close and walkable the house was to everything in Buena Vista! The house is well stocked, clean, and in such a nice setting. We really enjoyed just sitting in the backyard enjoying the weather and observing all the mule deer roam around. Would love to stay again!

Great little house with character

Little house with a retro vibe, and nice yard to hangout in the evenings.Great location with easy walk to downtown and restaurants, and perfect to use as base camp for hiking the collegiate peaks. Will stay here again.

We are from Grand Rapids, Michigan and were born and raised there. We have four adult children and two granddaughters. We came to Buena Vista because our friends own a vacation home here, and we fell in love with the town, the mountains, and the people. We also immediately fell in love with this house when we first saw it and realized it was for sale.
We plan on using this home for a retirement getaway and consider it our home away from home already.
