Our 1,700 sq. ft. log cabin combines the best of both worlds — rustic charm downstairs and modern comfort upstairs. It’s the perfect place for families, friends, or couples to relax, recharge, and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.

Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space with three comfortable bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a cozy living room that’s perfect for curling up after a day of adventure.

A Note About Power
Alaska’s weather can be unpredictable, and outages do happen. But don’t worry — our automatic generator kicks in the moment power goes out and keeps things running smoothly until the lights come back on. Whether it’s a couple of hours or a couple of weeks, you’ll stay safe, warm, and comfortable.

Get Outside and Explore
Goldstream Creek winds through the Fairbanks valley and is home to moose, foxes, and a variety of birds and other wildlife. There are endless trails nearby — perfect for hiking, birdwatching, berry picking, or dog walking in summer, and for skiing or dog mushing in the winter.

What a truly wonderful stay in an absolutely perfect lodge. The hosts provided all we could possibly need or want. Great place to relax. We would absolutely want to stay here again.

If you're looking to stay anywhere in the Fairbanks area, this is the place. Secluded location, yet close to town. Beautiful rustic design with modern amenities. View from back deck is amazing—an evergreen forest. Signage throughout the cabin was very helpful. Great water pressure. These folks have thought of everything. Great hosts and communication.

Close but feels far

Amazing place to stay, highly recommend! You feel far away from it all, but everything is very close and easy to get to. House was great and perfect for our stay.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! Felt like we were away from everything but close enough to get to places. Interior was decorated very well and furniture was comfy. The welcome bag of snacks and drinks was really nice, especially after a late arrival. It was very roomy for our family of 5. We had an issue with hot water on our last night but the owner was very quick to call me! Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay so we didn’t get to use the outdoor furniture but it looked very nice and I imagine it would have been excellent to relax on! I’ll definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit!

The cabin was beautiful! The owners were very thoughtful, we had a wonderful welcome note along with some great snacks waiting for us. There was coffee and creamer and a fully stocked kitchen. The cabin was spotless, extra towels, even detergent for the washing machine. There was mosquito spray and itch spray available. They had board games and puzzles along with books. They even made sure the mosquito population was sprayed. I mean they thought of everything! Just perfect for our stay in Fairbanks.

Cozy Cabin

Our group had a great stay at this cabin for our last destination of our alaskan vacation! The hosts were so friendly and even left us some snacks which was a huge plus.

Beautiful cabin for Fairbanks vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and seemed brand new. Owners are attentive and very easy to work with. They had thought of everything. Location is perfect - close enough to town to enjoy Fairbanks but remote enough to feel private and quiet. We will stay here again!

In Search of the Northern Lights

This was the perfect place for us to stay as we searched for the Northern Lights. We could not have been happier with our accommodations. The cabin is beautiful, easy to get to, and everything worked as it should. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

Not much else to say… the home itself, the owners, the communication, the location… I wouldn’t change a single thing! My kids wanted to buy the place and move to Alaska!

Very nice cabin with awesome aurora veiws

Cabin was amazing with beautiful views of the aurora right from the cabin! The hosts was very welcoming and kept in contact to ensure everything was up to standards and gave great recommendations! Was a little chilly in the cabin and heat would turn down automatically for night time but was alright if you caught it and turned it back up! Can not wait to come back!

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful time at this magnificent property. We did not want to leave when it was time. The hosts were great and were pros at hospitality. We had a couple of issues that I classify as "acts of God" that were handled promptly and efficiently. We would recommend this property to anyone and we would definitely book again.

Spotlessly clean and well-furnished home

The home's location is perfect, enough out of town that it is quiet and peaceful yet close enough that it's easy to get to the grocery store or airport. Ate at Ivory Jack's one night, which is 3 minutes away. A worthwhile place to check out. The house is well furnished and as I said in the title spotlessly clean. Communication with the owners was very easy. WiFi works well. I appreciated that both the front porch and back porch were furnished and again clean.

Amazing Cabin!

We stayed at Comfy Caribou Lodge from March 18-25, 2025 and had an absolutely amazing experience! This cabin was so much more than we had expected! It was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed and had everything we needed for our stay. We saw the Northern Lights every night that we were there right from the porch. It was far enough from the city to feel secluded, but close enough to go into town if we needed anything. The hosts, Spencer and Meera, were especially wonderful. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some recommendations as well. They provided us with snacks when we arrived, which was a welcome sight after traveling all day. The beds were very comfortable and the house was so cozy! It just made our entire stay even better knowing we had such a great place to come back to after we spent a day exploring the city. We only wish we could have stayed longer. I’ve already recommended the Comfy Caribou Lodge to friends who are looking to visit Alaska. We definitely recommend this cabin. It will be everything you are looking for and more!

Winter Wonderland

Our goal was to see the Northern Lights. We were not disappointed. While we tried different locations, the best pictures were made from the second floor window of the cabin or outside on the front porch. The cabin itself had everything you needed to cook with, to relax or play games or watch TV. If we ever go back to Fairbanks this is the place we will choose to stay - warm or cold weather conditions. Thanks for a great memory.

Gorgeous cabin in Fairbanks!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this cabin, as well as the owners. We spent eight nights at this cabin. It was outside of town, which gave us the privacy we wanted, but close enough that a convenient store/grocery store trip was easy. The cabin was extremely clean and well kept. They even had some welcome waters in the fridge and a bowl of snacks for us upon our arrival. We only had one minor issue when we arrived with the Wi-Fi (mostly user error 😂🙋‍♀️), and the owners called me within minutes to help me fix it. This definitely speaks volumes about their character and willingness to be available anytime. If we are ever in the Fairbanks area again, I would stay at the Comfy Caribou again in a heartbeat. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!

Gorgeous, welcoming cabin in the magic of the Alaskan winter

At the end of our stay last week our whole family agreed that we wished we could stay another week. The house is beautiful, modern and spacious, with wonderful appliances, washer and dryer, etc., but it is also a classic log cabin. It is nestled in the trees with no visible neighbors, but it’s only 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks, Costco, antler arch, etc. I read some reviews about supplies that Spencer and Meera leave for guests, but we were completely unprepared for the fully stocked shelves of food (pancake mix, oatmeal, canned soup, a bag of snack food, several bags of popcorn, etc., etc.) We went to Costco for perishables, but that was about it. It’s the perfect home base for aurora viewing. You can actually sit right upstairs on the north side of the cabin and watch and then if it gets going we found a wonderful spot on a hill halfway to town only five minutes from the house. It was at least as good as the “famous” spots like Murphy dome. Spencer was incredibly helpful the entire time with the house, with food and restaurant recommendations, snowshoe trail ideas, and so much more. He also gave good general advice for dealing with winter in Alaska. It was a true home away from home. Thank you so much Spencer and Meera!

This cabin was superior! Clean, attractive, and well located North of Fairbanks. It had everything we needed and more. The master bedroom and upstairs hall windows were well located for checking for Northern Lights. When we saw them from upstairs we went to the front porch for viewing! The Auroras were active 3 of 6 nights, but 2 of those nights were too cloudy to see them, which is fairly typical and why we booked 6 nights! Also, great communication with hosts before and during our trip.

We had a wonderful three day stay at the Comfy Caribou Lodge. The house is new, well-furnished, amply-supplied and just right for Alaska. The owners communicated with us before, during and after our stay and there were no issues or concerns. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed the view from every window - we didn’t have time or weather to enjoy the decks, but they are very nice. I took a long walk one evening along the country roads in the area and watched for moose, but missed them, apparently. We saw the aurora one night, which was on our bucket list. We highly recommend this rental.
