The Hualalai Resort Spa will be undergoing enhancements to the outdoor aqua-thermal areas of both the men’s and women’s locker rooms. Guests will continue to have access to the infrared sauna, hot tub, and pool, with a temporary cold plunge and infrared sauna also available near the Spa Lap Pool.

Besides visiting the beaches at the resort, you’ll want to head 30 minutes north to award-winning Hapuna Beach, excellent for both sunbathing and swimming, with powdery white sand and crystal blue water (beach gear is provided in the unit). If you like your beaches with a side of hiking, meander along the rocky lava fields to Mahai’ula beach, or continue along the path to the usually secluded Makalawena beach, where if you’re lucky you might spot a turtle in the water or a monk seal sunning on the beach. Finally, adrenaline junkies will have the time of their life ziplining over the tops of the forest in Kohala, a truly one-of-a-kind way to experience the beauty of the Big Island.
