The garden includes a shared hot tub which guests are welcome to use. FYI - We quietly use it most evenings around 10:30pm.

Our ‘Secret Cottage’ stay while touring Portland, the beaches and Mt Hood was excellent! This is a very comfortable and well-appointed ‘homey’ place. The enclosed yard with lush gardens is a private retreat. It’s a beautiful place in a convenient location. We’d stay here again!

I felt blessed to have such a cool place to stay while visiting my daughter who lives right down the street in best neighborhood of all of Portland.The place is clean and comfortable ..oh and bed is extra comfortable! Special private backyard with natural landscape. Hope its vacant next time I visit. Diane was very responsive and welcoming.

We loved our stay. It was so homey and sweet. I loved all the personal touches. I also loved how well stocked the house was with beyond the basics (ziplock bags, dental floss, sugar, etc). The garden is adorable and we spent a lot of time watching the birds and squirrels. And clean! Oh my gosh…so clean. Thank you so much. We will be back!

The garden cottage is perfect for a couple and served as a great home base to visit the Portland area. It’s very close to mount Tabor park, which is wonderful. We appreciated how comfortable everything was, from the bed, the heated floor in the bathroom and the full kitchen with everything you’d need should you choose to cook. The yard is beautiful, so quiet and relaxing. Then there’s the home made granola that Diane is so gracious to provide….it’s addicting! We actually stayed twice during this trip while we took a little detour to Washington and it felt like coming home upon our return. Both Diane and Charley are lovely people. We hope to stay at their place again when visiting Portland in the future.

This is a charming in-law unit. It’s so well-designed and it’s decorated and furnished attractively and efficiently. The unit had everything we needed. Access instructions were easy to follow. We especially appreciated the great climate system which warmed the unit quickly when we returned from a day out exploring in the rain.Absolutely loved it and would stay again!

This BnB was the perfect choice for my recovery after top surgery. From the moment we arrived, I appreciated how thoughtfully designed the space was for accessibility.My mom has mobility challenges, and the clear walking paths, ramp access, and beautiful garden made a world of difference for both of us. The accessibility features in the bathroom were especially helpful—not only for my post-surgery recovery, but for my mom as well.What could have been a stressful experience was made so much easier by having a comfortable, welcoming, and accessible place to stay. The peaceful atmosphere truly felt like a bright spot during my recovery.Thank you for providing such a lovely experience. I would gladly stay here again, even just for a staycation, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and accessible place to stay.

It’s a great place to stay. Very comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood and parking was always available. Loved that you could walk to several neighborhood shops for food and coffee. Easy access to the interstate as well. Highly recommend to visit Mt Tabor Park that is close by.

This location is in a quiet, historic, established neighborhood, and has excellent access to the many amenities of Portland and its surroundings. It is a beautiful short walk to the historic Mt. Tabor Park and easy access to anywhere in the city or hikes in the Colombia Gorge. Only two blocks to a neighborhood coffee shop and restaurant and a few more to the neighborhood theater where you can see a movie for $4 and have a pizza & beer. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby along with city bus stops and MAX light rail access, within easy walking distance.
