We absolutely loved our stay in Beatenberg! Bob and Jean were super helpful and friendly and really went above and beyond as hosts. The views from the apartment are simply unbelievable - just as good as some of the hikes! Also, the studio is more spacious than it appears in the photos. The location was very central to many different hikes and activities in the area, especially if you’re coming with a car (Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen etc.) Definitely stay here if you’re coming to Switzerland!!

The room was clean and spacious. The balcony had an amazing view of the valley and lakes. The kitchen was basic but very useable. The beds were very comfortable. It is a short 4-minute walk (all up hill) to the bus stop. The bus took about 35-45 minutes to get into Interlaken. There was only one small grocery store in town- it had the basics but we just up picked our groceries in Interlaken. The only issue we had was the internet, we could not use our laptops but a couple times all week. The phone connection was a better but cut off and on constantly. When we questioned the host about this they simple said that was the best they could offer and if we didn't like it we could leave and they would refund us the remainder of the stay.

Vacation

Our stay in Beatenberg was nothing short of amazing. The host was so kind and responsive to all questions throughout the duration of our stay, even giving us recommendations on activities to do during our stay. The views were absolutely breathtaking from the little porch on the property. If my husband and I are ever back in the area, we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Beautiful Studio Apartment with Stunning Views

My husband and I stayed here for a week on our honeymoon. It’s a cozy, well furnished apartment with all the comforts of home: private bathroom, TV, full kitchen, laundry access, and a balcony with an incredible view of the Bernese Alps. On a clear day you can see all the way to JungFrauJoch.

Gorgeous view

Sometimes the pictures on the site aren't accuate. These pics don't begin to describe the views! You can see mountains for miles and miles! The 30 min bus ride to the house can seem daunting at the end of a long day, but the bus is easy to figure out and the bus stop is just a 3-5 min walk to the house. The area is very peaceful and quiet. We can hear goats and their bells! The beds are a very firm mattress, which I loved. The kitchen was tiny but we didn't cook, we brought premade food from the grocery store. I would absolutely come back to this house.

Der Aufenthalt an sich war schön. Nur hat die im Angebot angegebene Ausstattung nicht gestimmt. Es fehlten: Geschirrspüler, Microwelle, Toaster, Mixer. Licht der Dunstabzugshaube funktionierte nicht.
