Payne Lake Wilderness Huts - Lakeview Suite

It is located in our campground on 160 acres and there are walk path with play equipment along the way, bike path, frisbee golf, pickle ball court and half basketball court. It is located by famous fishing lake, Payne Lake and only 15 minutes away from Waterton international park that has lots of hiking trails and 15 minutes away from Waterton dam for water sports. Lots to do in all season including ice fishing, hunting, cross country ski etc.

Great place to call home while visiting the Waterton Lakes NP area. Comfortable seating in the living room, and the memory foam beds did not disappoint. Would definitely consider this property if we come back to the area.

Beautiful area with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. Sunsets were spectacular! The short drive to Waterton park allowed quick access to the beautiful walking trails and boat tours of Waterton Lake! The playground was great, our granddaughter enjoyed it very much. The evenings were so quiet. The house was clean and comfortable and well stocked with necessities.

The view from the top floor was really nice. It for sure doesn't sleep as many people as it says. There is a loft but not safe and a mattress on the floor is all there is. The linens in the closet had hair on them and the unit itself was quite dirty. The white doors were filthy. The link I received for check in was blank, I had to text the host who replied right away. She also brought new linens as soon as I text her.

We saw the listing on Expedia, for a family stay we thought it was going to be ok. What we got was Excellent, the photo description matched, the amenities was full, check in / check out was smooth, i advise anybody who comes here should check their email for any updates. the owners was flexible and helpful for the check in / check out options, which we really appreciated. Everybody in the group loved our stay, highly recommend, definitely coming here again, will be my top choice for the future!

Overall, our stay was good. The property was clean and beautiful, and not too far of a drive to/from Waterton. We also loved the playground that’s a short walk from the property. It’s also close enough to a store (about 3-4 min drive) so if you’re in a pinch, it’s very convenient. The host was also quick to respond to questions. There are some areas of improvement. Instructions on how to get to the property could be improved and made simpler. Our group had to read it a few times to understand where to go. Bullet points might help, or use chatgpt. One of the stove knobs needs to be replaced or as the numbers do not correspond to right setting. The host was quick to respond to us when we brought it up which was much appreciated. The barbecue grill also needs a good clean. We had to scrape off the heavy build up of food on the grill before we used it. And lastly, it would be nice to have a few other items available for guests to use for convenience, like cooking oil, foil, saran wrap, etc.

Peaceful with amazing sunsets

Wow, what a peaceful place to stay! Close to Waterton park but away from people. The sunsets off the west facing deck were amazing! Would definitely stay here again

We stayed with 6 people and we had enough room for everyone. We all really liked the place, especially the loft area and the playground. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We really loved how the place was beautifully decorated, very simple but tasteful. I would highly recommend this place!! (In fact I’ve already recommended it to a friend!)

It was a great little place. Helpful owners. The VRBO process was a little frustrating but the property was great. The only downside was I had to kill about 100 flys in the house.

Loved this well equipped upper lodge. Beautiful drive to slip into Waterton or stay to admire the beauty from the living area and front deck. Quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed to cook some meals and relax

Great Family Friendly Stay

We enjoyed staying at the Wilderness Huts. It was a great place to relax with the kids. The playground was perfect to entertain our kids ages 6-8. There were games and movies you could borrow in the club house and canoes to take out on the lake. Overall a wonderful experience with great views.

Great overnight stop

We were looking for a place to stay ahead of a visit to Waterton and area. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Tons of room and beautiful views of the lake. Great communication from Soonhui. Very responsive with a couple items that popped up. Kids loved the basketball court! Would definitely come again.
