Horrible

Sucia , nos quedamos sin luz , la chimenea no servía estábamos a -21 grados Centígrados , nunca nos contestó el dueño , nunca fueron los administradores que quedaron de ir , la casa muy vieja y muy sucios los muebles los colchones muy muy viejos tengo fotos de todo

Enjoyed our stay

Please review

I recently stayed at a VRBO rental property in Mammoth, CA and encountered several issues. The carpet was stained and damaged, the stove was not working, the refrigerator's ice maker was broken, the upstairs toilet would not drain, the windows were dirty and blinds were bent, and the guest bedroom's king bed was sagging. These problems led to additional expenses and disappointment. I am requesting a thorough investigation and appropriate corrective actions, as well as a partial refund or compensation for the inconvenience. I hope for a prompt response and resolution to this matter. Thank you.

Cozy but dated

Place is great for big family with a nice view of the creek from back patio. Place was very open and airy. Main lodge is about 6 miles away, grocery store and food place about 2 miles. Loved that the kitchen was fully equipped even though we brought disposal plates and cups. Didn't want to do extra dishes aside for pots and pans we used(Glad they had those). Didn't use dishwasher we are hands on kinda people with dishes. Place worked out well for me and May family. Kiddos were able to play out near patio with adult. Place worked for the time spent inside.

CAUTION — DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT

Most major appliances are broken in this unit and clearly have been for a while. VRBO should not be listing it until major appliances are repaired and safety issues are addressed. Listing it as is is fraudulent. The oven/stove unit is not functional and has been switched off at the circuit breaker in the garage. Vrbo said they were aware of it, I should not attempt to turn it on and it might take weeks or months to replace the unit. Do not rent this unit if you intend to cook. The dryer is not functional. It only blows cold air so the clothes do not ever dry. Do not rent this unit if you need to do laundry. The dishwasher racks are broken and missing wheels. You can only load half the dishwasher and when it’s loaded you cannot pull the drawers out or push them in. The fridge is missing shelves and shelves are broken. You cannot store anything in the refrigerator door. The main coffee table is made of glass which has been broken, so there is a large hole in the top of the table and the jagged edge has been wrapped in duct tape. Do not let children near this as it is still sharp. The blender is broken and also wrapped in duct tape which is kind of just hilarious. The showers do not drain. The mattresses are the cheapest ones publicly available. The bunk bed is illegal with no railings, must be from the 80s. Carpets are burnt and stained. Vacasa (vrbo property management arm) is horrible, just call centers. Wont get another unit managed by them.

So much potential, but little pride in ownership

This place has so much potential and is in an amazing location. We loved the stream in the backyard and we enjoyed the proximity to the shops and hiking. Also, the group of homes in the tract are really lovely. The house is big enough for a lot of people which allows for everyone to have their own space. The management company was responsive to our calls, but it seems like the upkeep issues to make the stay comfortable for guests have been overlooked by the owner. If you know that the stay will not be entirely comfortable but the spacious location outweighs the house issues, then this could be the stay for you. Our biggest concerns have been repeated by other guests: the carpets are stained and dirty, the oven is old and stopped working during our stay, the dryer was temperamental, the dishwasher lower rack was broken, a blender was held together by duct tape and left on the sink for us to "use", the furniture is dated and one of the reclining chairs is broken, the showers have black mold in the grout, one of the showers does not have a grate over the drain, and the middle bedroom has a very musty smell from the old blankets that need to be replaced. All that being said, we had a wonderful vacation because we were together. Perhaps the owner is preparing for a remodel. You might consider waiting on this unit until some of those updates have been completed.

Stay at Snowcreek

While, the layout of this property was terrific, it definitely needs an update. The carpet was worn, and the furniture and beds were very uncomfortable. You could see that virtually everything was original. While I will continue to rent from VRBO, I would not rent this unit again for the reasons that I have a listed above.

Riddled with issues.

Broken(unusable) couch, broken hot water heater, dirty carpet, old mattresses, dated furniture, etc, etc… no response to numerous phone calls to Vacasa or “local management.” Our stay was subpar.

Very spacious home; great for large groups

We loved the spaciousness of this home, and how comfortable it was for a large group (8 adults and 3 young children). Good location, a little far from a shuttle route but still walkable. As others have said, the home is older, and in the condition you might expect of a rental home. Several things broken and oven has not been cleaned in awhile. It smoked up when we turned it on. Three of the stove burners are not working but we made do. Limited amenities - bring your own plastic silverware. It also seems like the heating is remotely controlled as we were not able to adjust it at all. Great mudroom - very large. I would recommend putting up more coat hangers, though. Overall a good experience.

Needs some attention until then don’t waste your money

This was our second trip to this rental our first was great reason for choosing this location a second time. Was disappointed the minute we walked in the door the carpets were filthy, the couch was broken couldn’t be used. The coffee maker had no coffee pot, the advertised sofa bed in one of the rooms was broken and unusable, the oven handle is barely on, the advertised gas grill for bbq is non existent a living room chair is also broken. This is a great location and has lots of potential but clearly no one is taking care of this place. Don’t waste your money or you will be disappointed as we were!

Old spacious but outdated house

What we liked: House is located in good location. Main lodge is 6 miles, grocery, food stores are within 2 miles from the house. House is spacious with good size rooms and a den which is a bonus and had an air mattress. We could park 3 SUVs comfortably, one in garage and 2 in driveway. What we didn't like: What the owners need to really do. The house carpet is absolutely filthy, replace it. There are utensils in the house but they are not so clean and we didn't really feel like using them, we have seen better. They definitely need to replace them. Most of the Kitchen drawers and bathroom drawers were locked. Bedding is ok but the extra blankets provided were in bad shape and didn't feel like using it all. Bathroom had no hooks to hang anything. Heating was controlled using NEST and set remotely, in the night the temperature dropped to 55 even though we had it set at 68. They said they fixed it when we complained but it was the same the next night.
