Cute cozy camper with great access to Kettle Creek

This is a very nice spot. The camper was nice and cozy and the heater kept it warm. The location and access to Kettle Creek is perfect. I recommend this rental. Hostess is great too!

Lovely, peaceful stay

Spent 3 nights to relax for my partners 50th birthday. It was a very cold weekend but the little heater in the camper kept us warm and the fire pit and well-stocked woodpile was fantastic in the evenings. We were delighted with how well the camper had been maintained and will definitely come to visit again! Next time we will be sure to book nights when the moon is not full so we can do some star gazing in the field

So Much Fun

Very accurate listing, very well cared for accommodation, beautiful setting, accommodating host. Had a similar trailer way back when. This one is in better shape now than mine was then.

The Canned Ham

We loved the trailer and the property. Kicking around in the creek took me back to my childhood. Loved all the little post-it notes explaining things in the trailer. Night sky was beautiful . I'm a big guy ,so sleeping was tight but I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Camper was clean and the hosts provided a unique experience. Fishing stream is an easy walk from the camper. Reason for the 3 in the communication section was it would have been helpful to have a contact number for the hosts. Our GPS put us a quarter mile away and we had some difficulty finding the camper.

Short getaway

Our stay was amazing and exactly what we needed! The camper was very clean and taken care of. The outhouse was also Very CLEAN, no smell. The motion light was perfect for my 3am trip to the bathroom. (no headlamp needed!) 😆 The field was perfect for stargazing and the lawn chairs they provided worked perfectly!! ✨️The creek was awesome, our friend caught 6 trout, and we saw a bald eagle while drinking coffee Friday morning before checking out. We are already planning out next stay. Thank you, Canned Ham!

Sweet Ham Camp

A wonderful little getaway spot, very clean, comfy, and quiet. Opening the door to the camper was like opening a door to the past camping as a kid in the '70's. A bit primitive with a porta John and no running water but hey... that's camping! The property is beautiful and spacious. We were there for the Kettle Creek music festival (which was very enjoyable), hauled our Harley in and got a ride in to the Grand Canyon, beautiful scenery. We put quite a few things on our to do list for our next stay at this Sweet Ham Camp. Thank you Cherie, it was a pleasure meeting you at the festival and staying at your camp.

Really cool vintage RV in excellent condition! Like sleeping in a museum of the 1970s. Beautiful pine forested creek-side location with charcoal grill available. Easy access to nearby creek. Private.. I had the woods to myself. Was easy for me to contact host. The one bed can sleep two people snugly. Bring your own sheets from home if you want sheets. Blanket is provided. Bring a towel from home. Decent cell service. Small fridge and microwave on site. Hidden gem! Please note there is no running water AT ALL in the RV. (This is NOT a hotel stay, this is vintage RV camping, so I was totally fine with this for a few days.) There is a clean private Porto-Jon on site and complimentary bottled water and snacks are provided. The electric heat is good and I was toasty warm when I turned it on in October. Contact host for instructions on how to lock the RV from the inside (while you are sleeping.) Area is remote but also geographically in the center of the PA Wilds region and a good starting point for exploring that region.

Memorable stay, great fishing, BUT...

We had a great time here. Just my wife and I. We're a little older. Not Spring chickens anymore. Soooo, the camper is really cool. Very clean. All the basics were covered. I want to be careful with my review, because I believe that it should be taken as helpful tips for improvements. First, the mattress. It is a seat thats been folded down to accomadate two people. It's completely adequate for a couple, and a tall person as well, but, it needs upgraded to a true twin mattress. Maybe a solid foam one without the crease. It's a tough night's sleep on it, since it's just a folded down seat. I'd make it a one piece mattress with more support, since it only rests on plywood underneath. Ok, that's that. Next, and finally, the outdoor shower. If you're going in 60 degree weather or less, take a heated system. Luckily, I did. It was a Zodi, which I used in the shower enclosure instead of the supplied water. It's only cold water, so if it's warm or hot out, that's fine. Otherwise, bring a hot water shower system like a Zodi if it's cold outside. Those are my only suggestions. The area is great. The fishing is fantastic. The camper is sooooo cool and impeccably clean. But I can only give 4 stars because of the two things.

Thank you for being a great guest! The vintage mattress is to the couch that makes into a bed .Some people struggle making the couch into a bed - so we just let the cushions unfolded to a bed. We did have just camp shower bags outside as pictured but just got the Awesome porta shower, we just hooked the water up to it quick so we are here today installing the hot water heater .Thank you for choosing to stay at our vintage 53 year old camper, we are happy you enjoyed it ! Thank you !

Absolutely everything my partner and I needed! No one around, quiet, beautiful access to the creek, and the camper was just perfect!
