Whether you are in town for a wedding at Providence Cotton Mill or Catawba Farms; you've come to NC to find the perfect sofa at the famed Hickory Furniture Mart; or you are attending an event at Lenoir-Rhyne University or the Hickory Metro Convention Center; whatever brings you to the beautiful Catawba Valley, you will love settling into our Victory House to relax and unwind. Arrive home to enjoy dinner on the back deck or log into your Netflix account to stream your favorite show before bed. Slip off your shoes, whip up a quick dinner in the cozy kitchen (or order from our favorite Japanese restaurant close by!), and settle into the comfy couch after a satisfying day in small-town America. Wake up rested and refreshed and enjoy the well-stocked coffee bar as you prepare breakfast in the fully-equipped kitchen or head out to one of the local cafes. Our home is near downtown Newton and only a few minutes' drive to Hickory, Conover, and Maiden via Hwy 321, I-40, and US 70. You will be thirty minutes from Lake Norman State Park; 40 minutes to South Mountain State Park (hiking, trout fishing and picnicking); 45 minutes to Charlotte (airport and shopping); less than an hour to Bank of America Stadium (home of the Charlotte Hornets) and concerts at the Coliseum; an hour to Boone/Blowing Rock ski resorts/outlet shopping; and 1.5 hours to Biltmore House in Asheville. Our home is the perfect overnight stopover on your way to just about anywhere! While this property is dog-friendly, message us with details about your pup before booking so we can make the arrangements.

Super central location, so convenient to the many sights & attractions both east & west of Hickory. Ideal setup for my 20 yr-old niece and her 64 yr-old aunt - each of us had our own bed & bath, so great private space, but evenings together in the common areas were full of good food, good games, good times, and memories I will cherish!Comfy and clean and adorable, this cottage was the perfect solution to our needs.Thanks so much to Angela & Chad for being so hospitable, accommodating, and responsive -- Great Hosts!

This is a wonderful, clean cozy cottage, and the backyard is cute too! I had a quick question for the host and she called me back within 5 minutes. Cupcakes, coffee and water were a great plus. There was a paper on the refrigerator that gave info about best places to eat, visit and explore. Very helpful. If we are back in this area would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! It was so welcoming, very clean, and had all the comforts we could ask for. The personal touches, like the welcome sign and muffins, made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This adorable cottage was immaculate and even better than the pictures showed. A handrail has been added at the front steps, which was a great addition, and there is a comfort height toilet in the main bathroom and a step-in shower, which were wonderful for anyone with bad knees!! There were lots of special touches, too...a personalized welcome sign, a handwritten welcome note and delicious muffins when we arrived. The amenities were also very abundant - well stocked kitchen, a water pitcher with filtered water in the refrigerator, lots of towels, liquid hand soap, and makeup mirrors - just to name a few! The backyard was beautiful with a fire pit and comfy Adirondack chairs. The host was very quick to respond, too! We loved it and had a great stay!

Everything about this cottage is perfect. It is lovely, clean and quiet. We planned a spa day at Rock Barn country club and it was about ten minutes away, just wonderful. We will be back!

Enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and located close to grocery store and restaurants. We had dinner at B-52s - great burgers and service. We will definitely stay here again!

We love our hometown, especially the slow pace and simple joys, and we are so glad you are coming! One of our area's most beautiful venues is the Providence Cotton Mill in Maiden, NC. When our daughter was married there in 2021, we realized families and friends traveling here for weddings would find it comforting and convenient to have a "home away from home" where they could prepare for the wedding and then unwind afterwards. Our sweet cottage fits the bill perfectly. We hope you love it, too.
