This is great location near the main city of Oakhurst and Yosemite National Park. This premier location made it easy to prepare for the trip, with easy, quick access to key locations like the grocery store, gas station, general store, and the like, as well as easy fast, access to the South Entrance of Yosemity National Park. I highly recommend this location if you're looking for something that's secluded yet still near helpful amenities, nature, and Yosemity National Park.

Great place in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Yosemite NP south entrance. Our hosts were very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again.

I gave tis 5 stars even though this is an older building, with some older furniture, because it was very clean, the hosts responded fast, directions for check in/out were very clear, the hot tub was clean and hot! The wifi wasnt great, but we were informed of that and didnt need it. Great off the main road location and close enough to everything we needed in minutes. Oh and the temperature inside stayed a perfect 70! Wonderful hideout getaway!!!

Great location

Great location! 15 mins from bass lake recreation area. There’s a grocery store, Big 5 and places to eat nearby. Very clean house with basic necessities to cook a meal.

Fair

Overall nice, clean and good location. Had to reconnect bed frame in master room and is still very rickety. Queen bed frame was sound. Dry erase maker for suggestion board was dry so you can't leave suggestions. One dish towel and no oven mitt was less than ideal. There was only one smoke alarm in the entire unit. Residential building code requires one in each bedroom.

Thanks so much for the feedback! We have replaced the dry erase marker and added a new oven mit. We did check out the smoke detectors and there is also one in each bedroom above the doors as required by code, these have been present for all the years we have been renting the home

Must visit place, very peaceful and relaxing and beautiful location!

Me and husband two twins age 5 enjoyed our stay at the raccoon Haven! It was very clean and Comfortable! We left it exactly how we got it ! just waiting on our deposit wondering when we’re going to get it back? Ty Sincerely Corral and Petit family

Wish it was a better experience

When arrived took off shoes to find the floor not clean enough to go barefoot, we had to wear our shoes the whole time. Found Blood on the Comforter and mattress pad. The mattress pad looked like they tried to wash but was still there. Unacceptable especially during Covid-19. We asked them to remove the comforter that day and it took 2 days to remove. Measuring cups were dirty the BBQ was dirty had to clean before we could use. There was a dirty sheet under the table near the sleeper couch from previous renter that housekeeping missed. The table was so wobbly one move and we spilt our drinks. We tried to play games and no one could touch the table else the dice kept rolling. So uncomfortable situation repeating to the kids over and over do not touch the table. The spa smelt so strong of chlorine we did not even use it. We ran out of paper towels and there was no back up. We ran out of TP we started with 1/2 roll and only had 1 back up. checkout is 11:00 and we got a call at 10:15 are you out so we can send in housekeeping. It could have been said nicer like "Thank for staying with us, just a friendly reminder checkout is 11 please text when you are out so housekeeping can get started. Thank you, come again". We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. We replied we will be out by checkout time at 11:00. We left and texted owner at 10:59 proof that we were out of the rental. They charged us a late fee saying that we were not out on time. We were outside loading our luggage. Are we being punished for being in the parking lot. Both my niece and I have contacted the owner several times with no response. Its been 11 days and I still do not have any of my deposit money. They don't seem eager to make this situation better. There was a note on the fridge mentioning that they are 5 star and please keep clean. I feel they are unprofessional and certainly not a 5 star experience. I 'm from Las Vegas I work in a 5 star Casino and know what is to be expected to be called 5 star. It is adorable and a good location. I wish it could have been different. At least make a professional effort to your renters even when stay is over. If they would address our concerns and issues and rectify our deposit this could be a whole new story. Like they were so nice and took care of all our concerns, but nothing! It's not enough to just have a cute place and good location especially when you want to be called a 5-star rental.

Terribly sorry that you felt you had a bad experience, we do strive for a 5 star experience for each and every guest! Unfortunately your deposit is held by VRBO and released by them, this is not controlled by the host. We did try to address the comforter situation immediately as there were numerous backup comforters in the unit for your immediate use. The sheets that are stored under a table in the living room were in fact neatly folded clean sheets for the pullout bed and also included a comforter for that bed. Checkout time is 10am, hence the reason for our message after 10 to see if housekeeping had the all clear to get started. This was after a message went out prior to checkout time with a friendly reminder of checkout time and where checkout instructions were located. Again I am very sorry you felt we missed the mark for your stay but am glad you thought our home was lively and our location great!
