Waterfront property, but the “beach” area is more of a mud area. Not conducive to swimming but everything else was great!!

We had a great long weekend here! The host was very responsive with communication and sending pest control for a wasps nest. The house is very kid friendly and it has everything you would need for your stay. In the pictures it appears the house is right in the water, but it is down a hill and off to the side. You can see this on satellite looking back, not something we looked at. The house could have been cleaner but a quick vacuum fixed that.

Great weekend

The property was very kid friendly and had everything we needed. Access to the lake was great as hours were spent in the water. We had a great weekend and will definitely recommend this property to family and friends!

Great house and location

Great house and property!! We enjoyed our stay and they had lots of great things for kids/ infants readily available (crib, toys, etc.)

Amazing home! I felt like the home was bigger in person that the pictures made it seem! Perfect space for multiple families with kids! We had a great time!

A place to gather

Interior layout with two dining areas nice for eating in and socializing with three generations. Vacation highlights included renting boat to explore Sacandaga Lake, eating at historic Hotel Broadalbin and visiting the National Bottle Museum.

Great stay at Sacandaga

The house is absolutely perfect for a group of friends and/ or family. Jodi and Darren couldn't make it any easier to book and stay at this house. The house is right on the water, clean and spacious. We will definitely be booking here again.

Lake Life

Very nice house and location. We brought our boats and spent most of the time on the lake. Beautiful weather and Sand Island is a good time. Would recommend.

House on Lake Sacandaga

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at the lake. The setting of the house beautiful and peaceful. The house itself was as promised/pictured and very clean. It was the most well equipped house we have ever rented, especially the kitchen. Darrin was very communicative leading up to our stay as well as during the week if needed to touch base during the week.

Very nice, clean well furnished home

Check in was easy. Host was easily contacted and helpful. The house was immaculate and anything we needed or wanted was there. There’s two kayaks and a sturdy dock. Would highly recommend this house.

Great place

Place was clean and perfectly decorated for the lake. Plenty of room for all 8 of us and the basement was great for all to gather at the bar. Darren was quick to respond with any questions we had for the place and was a great host. To our surprise there was kayaks to fish with and a closet full of extra chairs - tables and even a cooler for the dock area. We are looking forward to coming back and staying longer on the lake. Highly recommend for a lake rental in the area.

The house was good just being in the shallow part of the lake the dock was on dry land and couldn’t swim there. But we brought kayaks and they had two kayaks so we were able to launch them

Wonderful lake house property!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful house. The home has everything you need and more. It is very clean!! Lots of extra blankets and pillows. There are TV's in every room. The air conditioner is great! The washer and dryer were also so convenient. It rained so that put a damper on our stay and the area near the dock was super muddy but otherwise, we had a very nice time!

Sacandaga Getaway

We’ve stayed here one other time and really enjoyed being here. The owners are great, thank you Darren! The property was very neat and clean, and equipped with everything needed for indoor and outdoor use. We especially love the layout. The website doesn’t show all of the downstairs, which is our favorite spot. In addition to a bedroom and full bathroom, there’s also another fully equipped kitchen, foosball table, bar, and seating area with a big screen tv. I would recommend this property to all my friends and family.

Great family vacation

We had 3 families, totaling 9 people, stay for 10 days. We were there to celebrate my brother's 60th birthday. Everyone said the beds were very comfortable. We have been doing family vacation rentals for 15 years and my brother said this was the nicest one ever! The 2 teenage boys really liked the basement and foosball table. Because we had lots of people, having 2 refrigerators was great. We spent lots of time on the swim dock - using floating toys and just swimming around. WE did not use the 2 kayaks provided, but we brought 4 of our own and went kayaking almost every day-- loves of bays and inlets to explore. If you plan to use the waterfront a lot, just be aware that the water's edge is mucky. IF you have toddlers, it will be too mucky to enjoy right at the water's edge. However, we had no problem launching our kayaks and swimming off the dock. This place was immaculately clean and the attention to details was terrific -- the fake fireplace and candles on when we arrived, we really felt like we were being pampered on vacation.

Beautiful home

The house was perfect. It was very spacious and worked well for our family. The house was very clean and well stocked with any supplies you needed. Beds were very comfortable. Beware there is a very steep hill down to the water. Unfortunately for us the owner gave permission for a neighbor to move the dock for a wedding they were having. It was moved into a very weedy and mucky area and also a section of the dock was being repaired so we were unable to swim and even fishing was more difficult. The owner did not communicate this prior to our stay. I did call him and he explained the situation. The neighbor was supposed to move the dock back but never did during our entire stay. Also the neighbor had a large tent set up that completely blocked our view of the lake for two days. I realize this is not an everyday occurrence but unfortunately for us this was what we had to deal with. We went there to swim and fish. If the dock had been in place and not missing a section I think it would have been doable even though the water level was low.

Sacandaga weekend

This was a great place for us to stay! Great location, and view of the lake. The house was very clean, warm and well appointed; really couldn’t think of anything more that they could have provided. Hosts were great, responded quickly with detailed information and didn’t hesitate to honor our request for early check in. We highly recommend this property and would love to be their guests again soon! Thanks again Jodi for a great weekend getaway!!!
