This place was amazing! I walked in the front door and felt like I stepped back in time. It had the feel of a true historic home. Spacious and clean living spaces and bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again!

We made good use of the fire pit and private yard. The mornings were quiet, no doors opening and closing like in a hotel. Parking was ample and easy, Plenty of places to escape to if you needed a minute to unwind, both inside and outside of the house. The walk to an amazing restaurant was 472 feet, and felt very safe. Great coffe shops nearby. We grabbed some groceries and made appetizers and drinks right "at home". The walk to the riverfront was only 7-10 minutes. We will return to try more restaurants and other fun places in Owensboro! Our host was very informative, great to deal with. recommended a great golf course too!

Everyone and everything at Downtown Dream was fantastic. Thank you, Mike & Christy. They took care of all of our needs fast and with the utmost kindness. The property was great and in the exact location to fill all our needs. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us to hang out but get alone time if needed. We will definitely be staying there again.

House was clean with plenty of room. We did not spend a ton of time at the house but was very convenient to the convention center where we had a volleyball tournament for the weekend.

Holiday World Basecamp!

We stayed here for our yearly Holiday World vacation instead of in Evansville. Classic historic house & keep up ( you don’t see houses like this anymore) plenty of room, plenty of hot water, fenced in back yard for kids, ate at local non chain restaurants close by every night, great place.

Historical and great location

Beautiful historical home, this home is very well preserved. Clean and cozy. The location to the event center is unbeatable. Close to great restaurants and a splash pad/ play park for the kids. The spaciousness in the home is wonderful. Everyone had plenty of room and very much enjoyed this home. I cant say enough good things about this place

We were happy with the price and the size of the home.... however, we had concerns about the safety of the neighborhood. This was coupled with a door that was open leading from the master bedroom to the balcony (which was sagging and wouldn't lock without a bunch of effort to lift and latch at the same time), a back storage room on the house was left unlocked and open, and the host never responded to my messages (both on the app and the phone number provided). I sent a message Friday, Saturday and Sunday... no response. We spent 10 minutes inside the home then left for a hotel.

First ROMP Fest

The house was absolutely lovely with lots of history to it. Family was staying there for our first trip to ROMP and location was great for getting to/from festival as well as downtown activities to include Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The stand-up shower in master suite was a little small, but other than that it was a wonderful stay!

Host interaction was ok. The number of beds advertised on the listing was completely false. When i reached out, all the host initially offered was to refund the stay, but i had no where else to go.

Nice updated house

The house was beautiful inside and good for what we needed. The beds in 2 of the bedrooms are fulls and not queens, but we made it work. The backyard was nice and useful, but could use some weeding. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Owensboro

Our overall stay was good, we had some issues when we first checked in b/c the cleaning crew had not showed up, & the host was right on it. He had everything satisfactory within a couple hours. I would stay here again.

Family Christmas & New Year’s celebration

Everything was great! Perfect for our family. Just a note for the owner so he is aware: the floors throughout the house were not clean! We wiped up & spill & the towels were black. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you.

Downtown Dream

Our host Mike was very accommodating in getting a gentleman out to fix several problems. The home is great for a large group. We had 6 for the week and 2 more for a couple days. Might be better for younger people as 4 of us are 74 and 78. The steps to the second floor were steep for us and the second bathroom has steps to it also. It is very roomy for a large group.

We are originally from Owensboro so are familiar with the area. The home itself, however, is very beautiful and well-kept. The owner has done well keeping the historic style of the home while incorporating modern appliances and amenities. Communication and instructions were great throughout the process. The only thing I would say was a negative was the TV in the master bedroom kept restarting so it was difficult to impossible to watch TV in that room.
