The house is situated conveniently located across the street from the lake. The house rental has a spot to dock your boat for free during your stay. The lake is easy to access from the home to have a fun day enjoying Lake Norman. Quail Cottage comes with paddle boards and kayaks to use during your stay at the Cottage. Our home was recently on the Destination Channel and featured on Staycation. We are excited to share our episode with you soon! 👏🎬

This place is beautiful and perfect for a weekend getaway. The house is very clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed — the host even left us supplies to make s'mores. Thank you for a great stay.

Great vibes! Thank you to our hosts for thinking of everything. We enjoyed every detail- from walks to the dock to fire pit (and wood ready to go) to morning coffee provisions. Great property!

Amazing cottage!!!

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Very spacious living area for our group. The owner was wonderful and very accommodating for our 1 year old.

Wedding Weekend

My daughter and her bridesmaids stayed for the weekend and it was perfect! Very clean, lots of little touches and great spaces! Would definitely recommend.

Very Friendly Host

Enjoyable time! Very friendly host that provided wonderful house comforts during the stay. They even brought pizza on the dock during our last fishing day.

GREAT HOSTS!!!

Hosts were super responsive and had many surprises for us upon arrival (good surprises), like the fire pit was full of wood. Place is better than what was shown on the site

Lovely Lakehouse

We enjoyed our stay! The layout was great. Very clean and organized. Beautiful property. Plenty of space. Only issue was the master bed mattress had two major dips.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the bed. I am sorry about it. I was unaware the cleaner added an as-needed memory foam pad under the topper. The pad makes the mattress seem to hug your body. I am sorry it dipped for you. It’s been removed. I checked to determine if we need to replace the mattress for future guests. Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate our guests.

Better than we dreamed!

The pictures really don’t do the property justice it was just that great! Heather was a great host, providing refreshments for our holiday give away. I’m proud to be the one that selected our stay because my friends could not stop talking about how great it was.

Perfect Getaway

Everything was ideal. The house and the neighborhood were just as listed, clean and quiet. We loved the kitchen and the outdoor spaces. Heather was extremely responsive although we didn’t need anything. Next time we are traveling to Davidson we will definitely stay here again!

This is a good house in a lovely location adjacent to Lake Norman. No lake view from the house. Strict parking regulations and a steep driveway. The steps to the second floor are irregular and somewhat treacherous. Our party is adept, and one person fell and several of us stumbled. The owner lives across the street and spoke in a contentious manner about parking, just after one of our party had fallen down the steps.

Perfect home exactly as advertised!

My stay was amazing. I felt like I was at home away from home. Heather was responsive and left us so many goodies and amenities. We were even provided makeup towels in the bathroom…which is a first for me staying anywhere! My group talked about trying to return yearly for a friends reunion. I would highly recommend staying here!

Cute cottage with cozy back yard

Nice property, very roomy. Love the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Private backyard with fire pit and lights. Fit our group perfectly! Kitchen could be a little cleaner. Other than that no complaints. Good lake access yet close to shopping and dining.

Awesome!

The house has an open floor plan and spacious! The backyard with fire pit was relaxing early morning and late evening as the trees created a canopy effect.The front porch was large and relaxing as well. The walk across the street to the lake was not too bad as I looked at it as needed exercise. Ohhh, there were many treats awaiting us inside, snacks, drinks, and S’mores for the kids! Overall, excellent place to stay!

The house is fine, shotty construction but tried to "renovate", a few nice amenities within the house. The host lies and advertises twice - "Lake View", there is not. That is false advertising, and I will notify VRBO. I reached out and she said too bad, essentially knowing she lied about the lake being viewed from the house "Lake View" implies you can view the lake. You cannot from the house. She thinks VERY highly of the house and I'm not sure why.

Host thought of everything!

We had a great stay! The house was super spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. It’s tucked away in a quiet, nice neighborhood, which made it feel peaceful and private. The host really went above and beyond—there were thoughtful touches everywhere, from bottled water and snacks to laundry detergent and other little essentials. It made the whole experience feel really welcoming and easy. Would definitely stay here again! I should add: The one time we planned to take advantage of the lake and the paddle boards, a large family had set up camp for the day with coolers and laid out towels, leaving no room for any others. We were disappointed, but it didn’t ruin our stay by any means! This was no fault of the host.
