Property was as described. Clean and cozy. Host was great to deal with. We did not use hot tub. Overall great place to stay.

The Braxden was the perfect place to stay for our Black Hills get away. It had all the amenities, the bedrooms with ensuites were spacious and comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware so we could enjoy dinner in after a long day of sightseeing. The hot tub was also a favorite place to hang out. Communication with the host was stellar! 10 out of 10 will recommend and rebook! Thanks for an awesome stay!

I have only the most positive thoughts of this beautiful home nestled among Aspens and pines. The house decor is fascinating and I found something new everyday. The view off both decks is stunning. The kitchen has every thing anyone needs. I'll sum it up by saying "It was hard to leave".

The house was absolutely beautiful and in such an ideal location. Deadwood was wonderful itself to wander around in, but the other area attractions are close by too. We visited Wind Cave and Custer State Park. Did the wildlife loop road and got into a heard of buffalo. Drove both Needle and Iron Pintail scenic highways, did Mt Rushmore, the Badlands, and Wall Drug and out into Wyoming for Devils Tower. We golfed at Spearfish Canyon and Elkhorn Ridge which were wonderful courses and drove Spearfish canyon multiple times. Deer and wild turkeys were by the house every day and we saw the mountain goats in multiple places during our drives. So relaxing then to come back to the house in the evening, throw a few steaks on the grill and watch the moon and stars from the back porch. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub, but it was nice and big and I’m sure enjoyable as well! Watched the sunrise from the deck a couple mornings too and it was spectacular! Definitely recommend this house to stay in!

Fantastic views

This is a beautiful home and well stocked. It wasn't far to get to spearfish, spearfish cannon and very close to Deadwood. We enjoyed our stay.

Great house great location

The house is beautiful. It is very unique and attracts attention. The views are beautiful and it is convenient to everything. We would book here again.

Beautiful for Adults and older kids

This house is amazing! Decorated amazing and so homey. I would highly recommend to anyone! Communication with host was great too.

We had a great, relaxing time with family enjoying many special interests at the Hills! The location, comfort, amenities and communication at The Braxton was top notch! We enjoyed the wild turkeys and after three days the deer were eating from our hands. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Nicest property I've ever stayed at!

This house was amazing- great views, wonderful furnishing and decorations, and impeccably clean. The host was very communicative and helpful and he thought of everything- from leaving coffee to leaving travel shampoo and lotion in every bathroom. I cannot recommend this house enough if you are planning a trip to Lead/Deadwood or the surrounding area.

Great Property A

This is an amazing house in a great location overlooking Lead SD. House was clean and had ample space for our group of 6. The decks(yes 2) offered great views and were easily accessed right from the living room. Will be back again.

Fantastic Place!

Had a fantastic time. This house is absolutely amazing! Very close to Deadwood and many other attractions. The house has everything you might need during your stay. David is quick to respond to any questions you might have. Highly recommend! 5 stars

Wonderful experience

Our stay was wonderful. The property is very well maintained. The house is beautiful with gorgeous views. Seen deer and turkeys daily on the property. The property host David kept great communication with us up to and including our visit. We couldn’t have had a better stay anywhere. We will book again on our next visit to the Black Hills!

A unique house with an amazing view!

The Braxden house exceeded expectations! The views are incredible. No matter where we went during the day exploring we always wanted to return to our temporary home and enjoy the view! Our host David was very accommodating. His recommendations for local sightseeing and dining were spot on and perfect and appreciated. The home was comfortable and very well equipped for all our needs

Beautiful home beautiful views

Attended a family gathering and wanted a quiet getaway to catch a breath in between events. This was the perfect oasis to recharge our batteries. Close enough to both Lead and Deadwood but far enough away to enjoy quiet and spectacular views. Comfortable, clean and cozy. David was so welcoming and everything was perfect.

Husband’s Birthday Trip

We had such a wonderful time saying in this beautiful house! It had everything we needed. We cooked several meals, played games, sat in the hot tub, listened to music and had so many laughs. The house is close to everything…Deadwood to gamble, and nice restaurants, Terry Peak, where we skied, and Spearfish Canyon for snowmobiling. The house was super clean and comfy. The host David was great with communication. We would have loved to stay longer!

Amazing home

This property has everything you could possibly need during your stay. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of room, and ample parking. The owner even gave us access to the garage to park our motorcycles in. David's decorating in the home is amazing and gives the house character. We had almost daily visits from the local wildlife (deer, and turkey). The home is pretty centrally located to all the sites. David was easy to contact, and very responsive, even messaged us to warn about a potential storm we were getting. We would definitely stay again, should we travel to South Dakota in the future.

Beyond expectations- 5 stars!!!

Everything about this place is FANTASTIC! From the check in, to communication with the owner, to the location and all the things the house has for you to use while you are there...ex: Towels, stocked kitchen, coffee, laundry detergent...and the list goes on! It is also decorated very nice. The hot tub is an added bonus. And for us, the location was great as we were there for the Sturgis motorcycle rally and it was far enough out of Sturgis, but close enough to Deadwood that you could still enjoy the event while not in the middle of the commotion. I would HIGHLY recommend the Braxton and would definitely stay here again. IF I could recommend one thing, it would be black out curtains in the bedroom on the main floor...Other than that...This place is A COMPLETE GEM!!! We all enjoyed everything about the Braxton!

Perfection!

Amazing VRBO! Location, cleanliness, communication with owner all 5-star! We spent a week here so we could bike the Mickelson Trail, and it was everything we wanted and more. The views were stunning, and the place had everything we needed to feel right at home. Since there were four adults, it was great to have more than one master suite. We rode our bikes most days and had a meal out and then snacked in the evening, but the kitchen was fully equipped and there was a gas grill available, too. We didn't use the hot tub since the temps were super hot, but it was tempting once the sun went down. Lots of wild turkeys and deer in the area. Grocery store close by. The funny part was in the evenings when people would drive by slowly and take photos since the home/setting are so beautiful. We'd wave from inside the house and we got a few waves and smiles back. We highly recommend this VRBO and hope to stay here again the next time we're in the area.
