A Vintage Retreat within earshot of Rio Ruidoso -10 min walk to Midtown Ruidoso.

Our home was originally built in1940. My husband and I have spent the last few years rebuilding it from the ground up, literally. (mostly my husband.) We wanted to save it! It's a lovely place! An historic house, in a magnificent spot! We are a 10 minute walk from Midtown Ruidoso, with wineries, breweries, live bands and many shops. Game trails surround us, so you can view deer, elk, and the occasional bear walk down to the nearby Rio Ruidoso river for a drink. They walk right past our house! We are close to pretty much anything you can think of. Skiing, just 45 minutes away, in the magical Sierra Blanca Mountains. Fish from a list of nearby lakes and streams. Hiking is endless from contained trails in town, to mountaintop trails deep in the woods. You can even go horseback riding! You will love the view out our front windows and you'll have 3 different patios to choose from, while listening to the burble of the Rio Ruidoso. The beds are comfortable and you'll enjoy central cooling and heating. You will love our place!

Overall Stay

Family stay

We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was clean and comfortable, although no hot tub as the web ad said. We would return if we comeback to Ruidoso in the future.

Great stay/responsive host

This place is a GEM! So comfortable and relaxing! Great quiet location and the big windows are the best! The hosts are so great to work with. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyable Stay

Me, my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren enjoyed our stay. House was very clean, beds were very comfortable, instructions were easy to follow; was close to everything but was very peaceful and quite. We visited an ill member of our family and enjoyed a friends band playing at the Win, Place and show and relaxed at the house inbetween.

Fishing trip

Our trip to Ruidoso was great! This cabin was perfect for our getaway. It was vlose to midtown and to the lakes. Plenty of parking and room for everyone on the inside. Already planning another trip to stay here in the future

Clean, cozy and comfortable

Very nice, close to midtown ruidoso, restaurants snd grocery stores. Will definitely go again. Loved it. Even got to see some elk!

Winter Holidays 2022

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin. The cabin is equipped with all the conveniences and the setting is wonderful, quaint, with deer visiting regularly.

The property is very nice. The property was not clean when we 1st checked in. I contacted the property manager and she came over and took care of cleaning the property. Kudos to the property manager. excellent. She was not informed of our check in. She stopped eveything she was doing and came aand took care of us.

Loved it!

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again. Veronica was fast to respond when I texted her about any questions we had. Loved the location and cabin had everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the board games.

Wonderful Retreat

This place was very clean and comfortable! Owner is very responsive. The location was perfect, walking distance from Midtown but far enough to escape the noise and crowds. I will definitely recommend this place and stay here again. ❤️

Cabin is not a cabin, it’s a small house made to look like a cabin. Not taking anything away, it was still a perfect place to stay.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. There was more than enough room for our family of four, and we could have easily fit four more people. The beds were comfortable, the towels were soft, and there were a lot of extras--cooking supplies and games. Super close to town and you can hear the sound of the river from the front deck!

Perfect stay!

Nice vintage, we enjoyed our stay.

Property manager communicated with me very well, and fast. Vintage had everything we needed. The neighborhood was silent, we liked that.

We are a family of 3, who truly enjoy the outdoors! My husband is a newly retired Fire Captain and I am a retired elementary school teacher. We've been together for 37 years and married for 32. My husband loves to hunt, build classic cars and go racing! I generally like to spend the majority of my time outdoors, on the mountain, hiking, foraging for mushrooms, and just being a naturalist. We also love spending as much time as we can with our16 year old daughter! (We wish she felt the same way, though. lol)

We bought this property, so we could get out of the Arizona heat during the summer and be closer to family. We decided to make it a vacation rental, so it doesn't get lonely and use the acquired funds to help keep the property up.

This place is awesome because it feels like you are in a rural area of the woods, with wildlife all around, yet are only a 10 minute walk from town. We absolutely love it here!
