Welcome to Sugar Hill, a thoroughly renovated home that is centrally located and pretty much close to everything. The kitchen boasts new appliances and a coffee station. Off of the kitchen is a screened in porch where you can spend your evenings relaxing while enjoying the privacy of a fenced in yard. The living room has a toasty wood burning fireplace for romantic evenings with 75" Smart TV. The main bathroom has a soaking tub and rain head shower. The house is equipped with wi-fi and a Bluetooth stereo.

The “Arctic Sunrise” room, boasts a king size bed with 12” memory foam mattress. There is a recliner with massage for your comfort. There is a 65” SmartTV. And an antique dresses with a antique washing bowl

There is Standard cable in Living room and Smart TVs in the bedrooms. Sugar Hill is 5 minutes to historic downtown mall, University and UVA hospital. 5 minutes to movie theatre. The house is Pet friendly with a screen in patio. A beautiful wood burning fireplace, with wood on the premises. New washer and dryer. New appliances. All new hardwood floors. And lastly a deep soaking tub with rain head shower to make your stay a relaxing visit.

Comfortable property close to everything in Cville: UVA, Shopping, Downtown Mall, etc. Property is clean and comfortable and suitable for a small family. Kitchen is well-equipped and back porch is great to enjoy morning coffee.

The house was very clean, and comfortable. Instructions for check in were no problems. The kitchen was well equipped, and the screened in porch was a plus for meals or relaxing. Also the backyard was fenced and grass mowed, so accommodated our small dog. The house was convenient to the University of Virginia, 15 minute drive or so away. Televisions were large and practically in every room, including outdoor space. Master bedroom was especially large with king size bed. Bathroom was spacious, with a tub, again a major plus. We enjoyed our stay. My husband especially enjoyed the front room recliner.

As advertised: home was clean, well appointed and in a good location close to downtown and the university. Appreciated that it was so well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable. Good communication from the host and easy instructions for access.

Great location
Property was clean and perfect for our group. The only gripe is the pull out bed didn’t fit the room, I’d consider a queen.

Hi Ashley, your comment is well-taken. We selected the twin bed with trundle for its versatility, particularly for families with kids. However, I recognize that adult guests might necessitate further arrangements. I'll factor your input into future room planning. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback.

Lovely stay!
The house was great with very easy check in and prompt communication with the host. We enjoyed slow mornings in the patio and were able to walk to downtown Cville or take a short, convenient bus ride. Would definitely return!

Great location
The check in and check out processes were very convenient. The house is located near a lot of main attractions, and has plenty of amenities including games, a coffee bar, an excellent shower, and comfortable beds. Susan was very responsive and friendly.

So comfy
This was the perfect place … close, but not too close, to downtown. Very clean. The bed was SO comfy and the neighbors were very sweet.

Girls’ trip
A bunch of high school friends celebrating our 50th birthday and doing a wine tour. This house was perfect for the 4 of us! Located very close to downtown.

It was very nice having a washer/dryerHouse was very well stocked. House could use some refreshing-paint interior, new patio cushions-they were very stained and dirty

Thank you for your feedback. I have ordered new cushions as we continue with our home renovations. Over the past couple of years, we have made significant improvements, including new air conditioning systems, mini splits, roofing, driveway, doors, appliances, shower, and vanity. We are updating all the time. Thank you again for your input.

Great for a family getaway
We booked this a family vacation in the Charlottesville area. Susan is responsive, friendly, and ready to help. The location is great a short ride to downtown and an easy 20 minute drive to several wineries. They have a well stocked towels and linens closet and everything you would need in a kitchen. The back patio is also covered which is really nice. Would definitely stay there again.

A Quaint 1/2 House With A Back Yard and on a Convenient Bus Route
My husband and three of our adult children visited our other adult son in Charlottesville. With all of us on budgets, this home was the least expensive of other properties and had wonderful amenities and outdoor space. There is a fantastic Grocery store (Wegman's) just a mile away so that was convenient too! We enjoyed our time here!

Nice place, after bumpy start
We'd received info about how to work the HVAC systems, but downstairs was off, with "do not touch" signs. After a few slow back-and-forths (it was Thanksgiving eve, in fairness) and our quick late-night trip to a convenience store for batteries, we were back in business and everything was great for the rest of our stay. Everything was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a full kitchen.

The house we switched, we upgraded the air conditioner with a new mini-split system for heating and air. That's why we have signs indicating not to touch the old heating system. But after we spoke, I'm glad we were able to resolve the issue. Thank you again for your review and for choosing us.

Unsure what you mean. I went by the book and did what checkout said. Got all towels up, all dishes done. I didn't strip the beds or clean, but I think I paid a cleaning fee. I'm sorry you're upset.

Christmas in Charlottesville
We returned to this location again to celebrate Christmas with our children and grandchildren. The house was once again a great place for us to stay. The communication with the owner was fine, check in and out easy, and the place was very clean, comfortable, and provided 5 of us plus a dog plenty of space. We cooked Christmas dinner and found all of the necessary utensils, plates, and serving dishes. The neighborhood is quiet (except for some traffic as Bailey Road can be a short cut for vehicles looking to get to 5th Street from downtown. Not a big deal)
The location is great near to downtown, UVA, and the 5th Station Shopping Mall with everything you may need! The restaurants downtown are easily reached from here.
There is also a working fireplace with wood that we did not use but would like to next time we are there in the cold weather. Great enclosed backyard for a dog to roam safely as well.
Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Charlottesville.

Great place in Charlottesville
Visiting family in Charlottesville, we stayed at this very nice home which was one side of a duplex. The house was recently renovated throughout and was a great place to stay. The furnishings were all a very good shape and the kitchen was very well stocked with plates, pans, etc. The beds were all memory foam and very comfortable. The pictures accurately portray the property and rooms. There is a nice little screened in porch and back yard although it was too cold for us to use. There is also a fireplace and firewood that we will use in December when we return. The location is perfect for visiting the city of Charlottesville and close to the highway. There is a very large shopping center within a mile with everything you might need, including a Wegman's. We had no issues with any sounds from the other side of the duplex as the home was very well insulated. Communication with the owner was excellent and the check in and check out was easy. Highly recommend and we will be back there again for the Christmas holidays!

Sugar Hill is in a wonderful location. The bus stop is located on the corner at the top of the hill and steps away from the home, for those who do not drive. Sugar Hill is 5 minutes to historic downtown mall, University and UVA hospital. 5 minutes to movie theatre. You will be located in the heart of the town.

We have a wood burning fireplace for a romantic night. The is a screened in patio on the back of the house and a gas grill for your convenience. The yard is fenced in. The driveway can accommodate three cars.
