This was my second stay in this same location with the same top tier hosts - and if I have my way, I will never stay anywhere else when in Monteverde. If it’s something that makes your stay beautiful, comfortable, or safe - it’s done. Not one worry.

Our host provided the best and clearest instructions for accessing the house.The top floor gave us the best views. The cloud forest is so different from the rain forest and we truly appreciated the lack of humidity and mild temps.Excellent location! Excellent hosts!

Great location, quiet little traffic end of town, and very private. Monkeys come at 5pm like clockwork..lol. Well equipped kichen, nice to have washer and dryer.

Jorge was very responsive to any questions we had and his knowledge of the area was great help. The apartment is well equipped and has large windows for beautiful views!

The property was in an excellent location, close to shops but also very close to the Cloud Forest. The property was adequately equipped for home cooking and it had a lovely patio where we could watch the monkeys that would come by occasionally.

We wish we would have booked another night here! Great central location, the host gave us good local food and trail recommendations, and we loved being able to walk down to Stellas and Monteverde Coffee. You could also walk to Curi Cancha.The property is a haven for birds, with fruit trees and flowers planted below, and a large swath of forest adjoining the Crandall Reserve right behind. We saw guided birding tours on the road near the condo several times. From the deck we watched hummingbirds, mot mots, toucanets, and a variety of others. The avocado tree that overhangs the deck was a hit with the birds. The monkeys also swung through one morning!The only downsides, were the beds were very firm, and the upper deck has a slight view of the main road. But since my husband would rather watch cars and motorcycles than birds, it worked for both of us :) And the sunset views were great!

Birders' first time in Monteverde

Fig Tree #3 was the PERFECT spot for our birding vacation in Costa Rica. Easily walk to Curi Cancha and a 5 minute drive to Monte Verde Biological Reserve. We enjoyed the toucanet and capuchins who were daily visitors outside our windows. Highly recommend.

This place is ideal for nature lovers, which is after all what you come to Costa Rica for. Surrounded by trees, on the top floor you get a direct view of multiple different birds, butterflies and a group of capuchin monkeys. We saw them daily, quite close to the windows of the back bedroom, which is like a viewing gallery! You can see the sunset from the balcony. Venture into the gardens for more birds and butterflies (multiple morphos) and we even saw an agouti. We saw more wildlife from the apartment than at the hanging bridges! It feels safe and the 3 apartment block is behind a large gate privately accessed by code and key. Just make sure you have the right ones. They had changed from the check in info given but luckily Jorge answered our query straight away. It has dedicated parking, there are three sets of stairs up to the apartment. Stella’s cafe has great food and is a 2 min walk. It’s virtually opposite Curi Cancha reserve and a few mins walk to the Bat jungle. You need a car to get into Monteverde town but there is parking near many restaurants. The shower is great and the apartment is thoughtfully set up. I highly recommend this wonderful apartment if you want to feel immersed in nature.

Comfortable stay with wonderful balcony and views!

Great location and close to a couple nice restaurants and bakery. Nice to have washer and dryer as an option even though there was a limit to 1 load during our stay. Checkin was simple and clear. The condo was nicely decorated with adequate kitchen amenities provided for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed our time here and felt the price was very reasonable. We loved trying out the traditional coffee maker with the coffee that was provided as well!

Beautiful nest in the trees!

This property was exactly as described and shown in photos. Lovely space indoors with capuchins, toucans, pizzotes, and agoutis seen outdoors from back balcony and front porch. Location is a short walk from a small commercial area that is very quiet after 6:00 PM. The hosts have a helpful information binder and also texted about a musical event.

Attention à l’arbre mort à la sortie de la clôture d’entrée. Il est situé dans les airs et nous avons cassé la vitre arrière de notre voiture. Erreur du conducteur mais il devrait être enlevé
