Settin' on the Creek - Let Your Cares Drift Away!

This cabin is cozy on the inside and out! Once you arrive, you will be drawn to the sound of the babbling creek in the back yard. Sit in the gazebo and let your cares drift away. There is also a bench swing and an outdoor fire pit with seating all around. Relax in the hot tub after a day exploring the beautiful Helen area. This cabin is pet-friendly, so don't leave home without the doggie!

Enter the cabin through the front door and feel right at home in the large living room and open dining room. Sit back on the brand new leather furniture and watch your favorite show or sport on the smart TV through the free YouTube TV subscription. During the cooler months, start a fire in the wood burning fireplace to set the perfect atmosphere in your cabin getaway.

The kitchen features a small breakfast counter, stove/oven, microwave and full size refrigerator. There's both a standard drip coffee maker and a Keurig for your convenience. Bring your coffee and condiments for a cup of joe just the way you like it. The washer and dryer are located in the laundry room just next to the dining area.

There is a king bedroom with private bath on each side of the living room. The bedrooms have a smart TV, too! Each bathroom has tub/shower combinations and a single vanity.

Out the kitchen door is a reading porch with rocking chairs and view of the woods. Beyond this little nook is the outdoor deck with a gas grill and table for four. The hot tub has been installed and is just waiting for your arrival!

This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $75 + tax for the first and $25 + tax for each additional.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Settin' on the Creek is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The road is dirt and gravel to the property. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles
• Pets: Pets are allowed at Settin' on the Creek.
• Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Girls getaway at Settin on the Creek

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is exactly as described and as seen in the pictures. We had a fabulous time just relaxing in the hot tub, sitting in the gazebo over the Creek listening to the water flow, we grilled out on the back deck and enjoyed the sun setting through the trees. So close to downtown Helen you could be at Betty's Country Store in less than 10 minutes. Perfectly laid out cabin for a friend's getaway or two couples. We have already shared the cabin and cabin company info with several friends and are already planning our next trip!!

Just the perfect amount of privacy

The property is just as depicted in the pictures but better in person ! The location is up a mountain on dirt/gravel roads but not difficult to navigate with an SUV. It was private with neighbors all around but no one very close at all. We used the firepit in the back and the fireplace inside the home and it was wonderful. It is important to know that you will need to bring a lighter and starter log and either preorder or buy wood for each. There is a store very close that is really resonable if you need to get anything. It's also important to note that there are no basic spices ( even salt and pepper) and no laundry supplies for the washer and dryer. This is noted in the body of the description of the rental but a picture of the laundry room shows supplies so I didn't catch that. But honestly those few things were tiny details that did not take away from our overall enjoyment of the cabin. Also, the customer service from Georgia Mountain Rentals was outstanding !!! I would highly recommend this rental. It is super close to Helen and main street and many other outdoor activities!

Loved the cozy yet spacious cabin with separate king sized rooms with en suites either side of the lounge and Kitchen.Enjoyed the jacuzzi during snow flurries while the lads went disc golfing. Plenty of towels to make that happen.Thank you had a fabulous time.

Amazing!

I’ll start by saying do not follow the GPS when arriving from Florida. Do not be like us, follow the directions that are given. We ended up on a dirt road in the dark with cliffs on both sides of us. We should have listened. When we arrived, alive and well, the property exceeded our expectations. A literal cabin in the woods, minutes from town. We stayed for 3 nights. On our second day it was rainy and I couldn’t have been more grateful for the rain. We stayed in the cabin with the fire going all day watching movies, eating snacks, and taking dips in the hot tub. The property was so clean with plenty of room for four people. We would definitely stay again!

Creekside bliss!

The cabin was well stocked with linens, towels, and soap. I really liked the layout of the cabin. The gazebo at the creek was a quiet place to reflect. Being close to Helen wasa bonus

Lovely cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Settin On the Creek for only a couple of days. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and a great location for seeing some of the sites around the area. I can imagine that staying there in winter and building a fire in the massive fireplace would be lovelyThe beds were very comfortable.. Georgia Mountain Rentals were very responsive and checked to see that all was well.A few suggestions:Not that I’m there to watch TV but if by chance you want to watch, a larger screen TV in the living room would be better.The rental company supplied a few items and since we were there for such a short period that is what we used. The sponge/scrubber was so cheap that it disintegrated in my hand like cotton candy and the paper towels were like newspaper. Also the $75pet fee is outrageous for a very clean pet-although that is the norm these days and I was glad to be able to bring my dog. All in all it was a great stay and other than the size of the TV, if the rental company had put out a few more pennys there’d be nothing critical to say.

Cozy Cabin Tucked Away in the Mountains

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We selected this cabin as our getaway place for a week's vacation. The cabin was clean and cozy, having all the amenities a family would need. While we didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of the fire pit, we did take time to sit outside and enjoy nature on the porch swing and gazebo. We also used the hot tub which was clean and hot upon arrival. The cabin is conveniently situated in the middle of the mountains but just minutes from downtown Helen. The only recommendation I could offer is to have a couple of games or puzzles available for guests to enjoy on a rainy day. There are checkers on the porch, but we didn't find any others.) Overall, our visit was just what we were looking for- tranquility and an ability to relax in a comfortable cabin in the mountains.

Our stay at the cabin

Very nice location. Easy check in process and accessories at the cabin. About 3 miles from Helen which was perfect. If you want a nice quiet location, this is it. Has a nice outer enclosed, air conditioned porch. We absolutely would recommend it and plan to stay again soon.

Relaxing and peaceful cabin in the woods

This cabin is peaceful and relaxing in the woods. It is very clean, I am highly allergic to dogs and cats and with it being pet friendly you couldn't even tell that animals have stayed there. We loved the sunroom. It was so relaxing, we never even turned the TV's on. The beds and the living room furniture is comfortable. It has good water pressure and we had no issues with hot water with 4 people. I recommend updating the description, I reached out beforehand to see if there was a blender and I was told this property did not have one, so I took my own. When we got there there was a blender at the property. The description stated there was no dishwasher but there is a small dishwasher and you can use it but it needs to be mounted to the countertop. It is gravel roads with some deep dippets that need to be filled with gravel and smoothed out. My truck did good, my best friends dodge challenger was a bit of struggle. We would definitely stay here again.
