The name says it all: "Peace in the Woods"! This cabin is secluded and located at the end of Red Fox Lane, bordering the Chattahoochee Oconee National Forest.

3rd Night Free Special - Book 3 Consecutive Nights. Receive 3rd Night Free. May use for Early Arrival or Late Departure. Valid on New Bookings with an arrival date between August 7 and September 15, 2025. Excludes Labor Day Weekend. Only One Discount Applied per Reservation. If booking through a third party, please request the 3rd night free in the guest comments or through your account portal.

This charming cabin is tastefully appointed and is appreciated for its beauty, comfort and privacy. There are large decks in front and back, both partially covered, that allow you to bask in the North Georgia mountain sunshine or relax in the cool shade – when you’re not unwinding in the warm waters of the hot tub!

Both bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the living room and each has a king bed, television and private bath. Enjoy the cozy living room in front of the wood burning stone fireplace while watching your favorite movie. The fully equipped kitchen will make you feel right at home when preparing snacks and meals. You and your loved ones will also enjoy grilling out on the back deck and sitting around the new outdoor fire pit. A fence was recently installed at Peace in the Woods, so you can let the dogs play outside!

This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $75 + tax for the first and $25 + tax for each additional.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Peace in the Woods is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
• Parking: Space is available for 3 vehicles.
• Access: The road and driveway is dirt. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles
• Pets: Pets are allowed at Peace in the Woods.
• Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Wonderful

Everything about this was excellent. The cabin was in a perfect place and there was a fenced yard for our dog. The screened in porch was great for drinking coffee in the mornings. Everything from the check in (which was actually an hour early) to the checkout was perfect. Will definitely be staying there again!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed with my family for a week. Property was close to everything but also secluded and quiet. Fenced yard was perfect for our dog. Cabin was very clean. Kitchen could use some better supplies... difficult to actually prepare a meal since the knives were all full. Otherwise great amenities. Would return and recommend to others.

Beautiful cabin stay!

This cabin was peaceful and quiet. It was well stocked and very clean. Good communication with property managers. (Especially when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Do NOT do that. lol) My only complaint is I didn’t get to meet any bears. Everything else was great!

Perfect cabin in perfect location

Peace in the Woods is in a great location very near to Helen & Unicoi Stae Park. The cabin was very comfortable and provided everything one might want or need.

Loved our time BUT...

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at “Peace in the Woods. This was our second time to stay there. We love the privacy and easy accessibility to the cabin and local attractions. Unfortunately,the cabin is long overdue for some attention to the outside. It has two lovely porches but we walked through several cobwebs trying to get in and out. It was hard to relax in the hot tub when there is a giant spider dangling over your head! Screens are coming loose and porch furniture needs a good cleaning. Additionally, it rained while we were there and although the sound on the roof was lovely, the gutters were so clogged with leaves and branches that the water didn’t drain and it was like a small waterfall. The inside was immaculate but could stand a few inexpensive “extras”(no toaster? Only a K-cup coffee maker?). We still had a wonderful time but probably won’t return to that cabin again unless some TLC is given!

Peace in the Woods as promised

We were there Friday until Sunday and it was great. Close to Helen and very secluded and quiet. Property was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Peace in the Woods was everything it’s name stated.

We were in town for a conference at Unicoi and the cabin was just 5 short minutes away and allowed for us to have our fur child. Beds were comfy, house was very clean, management very helpful. We definitely will use Georgia Mountain Rentals again!
