Remodeled home on Lake Murray. Large screen porch overlooks large yard, and dock

You will be hard pressed to find a more relaxing screen porch with unbelievable views and sunsets. Totally remodeled home ready to invite you in to enjoy a wonderful time with family and friends. Screen porch has two couches, tables to eat and rocking chairs. Dock or boat ramp is great to swim and fish off of. Want to sleep in? Blinds plus black out curtains will help you catch up on sleep. Publix is ten minutes away and that will be the only time you want to leave. Grill is new just like all the appliances. Two hours from Charleston, 1 hour from Greenville, two hours from Charlotte and three hours from Atlanta. 35 minutes to Williams Brice traffic (not taking in to consideration game day traffic.) If you can't make the game watch it on the 82 inch TV in the den with views of the lake out the 9 foot sliding glass door. The permit allows for 6 adults but kids 5 and under do not count towards guest count.

Another wonderful family gathering

This is the second year my husband and I have rented this home to host Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners for my local family. It is a fantastic space for lots of people! A large, gorgeous kitchen with lots of cookware and tableware. A dining area open to the family room makes for easy interaction and enjoyment with more eating space on the deck. Comfortable beds, great living space, gorgeous views - an amazing place for a gathering of family and friends!

Three Night Stay

Beautiful property on Lake Murray with stunning views from the living room, master, screen porch and dock which is in short walking distance from the home. The house was clean and well stocked with what we needed for the trip. I was on a trip for USC graduate school and wish I could have enjoyed it more but I plan to come back!

Great rental

I have stayed in countless rentals across the country and this is by far the best one yet. The home was clean and beautiful. The sunsets are incredible from the dock or screened in porch.

Beautiful

We’ve been staying at Murray for the past 14 years and this home is the best one we’ve stayed in yet. Plenty of parking. Plenty of room inside the home. Host allowed use of the garage which was such an added bonus. Everything was perfect and look forward to booking the same home again next year.

Relaxing

Very nice, quiet home for a family get away. Maybe the most comfortable beds ever. The house is so well insulated that you do not hear noise from other rooms, not even from a 2 yr old. The decks and view were my favorite.

Peaceful lake retreat

Enjoyed our short fall break at this wonderful house. The house is well appointed and has a fully stocked kitchen. The screen in porch with lake view was relaxing for morning coffee and evening meals. Everything about the house was first class and fit our family perfectly. Location on the lake is excellent.

Summer lake stay

This was a nice house with a great location on the lake. It was easy to find and had everything we needed for a quick summer stay at the lake. Clint was easily reachable and quick with responses! Will try to book again in the future.

Beautiful Hime

This lake front home was beautiful, well stocked, very updated and the water views were amazing. The owner communicated with us easily. We had no issues and would highly recommend this lake house for future renters.

Nice lake house

Lake house was comfortable & had lots of room. Porch was wonderful. Great dock. Master didn’t have mattress cover and the trash outside was full when we arrived, but the kitchen was well stocked and we had a great stay.

Perfect location for our vacation at Lake Murray SC

Really enjoyed the stay as the house had every convenience one would expect. The dock and ramp on the property were perfect for launching our bass boat and the screened in porch was really enjoyable. The location was very close to Chapin SC shopping and eateries. The neighborhood is really nice and the neighbors were also very friendly. Will definitely be looking into a return trip. Owner was very responsive to questions prior to our trip which we really appreciated.

Perfect for a Family Gathering

Despite a hiccup or two, the owner was very responsive and we had a terrific stay here over Christmas where we were able to host Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners for nearby family. Plenty of room in the kitchen, seating inside for 12 to dine, as well as a lot of sofa and chair space. The house is still being renovated, but what has been done thus far is beautiful, as are the lake views! The outdoor screened deck was a great place to hang out on the warm afternoons. We would definitely stay here again!

Great remodeled home with unbelievable view and lake access

I would highly recommend this newly remodeled home with large dock and unbelievable lake view. Great location in nice neighborhood, 10 minute drive to grocery store, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed hanging out on the giant screened porch overlooking the lake while the boys spent their time fishing on the dock. The home has been recently remodeled and is well appointed for a getaway. Clint was great and very responsive. Would definitely recommend and plan on booking again!

Beautiful Home with All the Amenities!

Everything about the home and the property was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked (we were able to cook every meal at home during our almost week long stay) and there were so many games and amenities to keep ourselves busy! My only recommendation would be to update the listing to reflect the actual layout of the bedrooms; there’s (2) bedrooms with (2) Queen beds apiece and (1) bedroom with (1) King bed. The listing shows (2) bedrooms with (1) King bed. Looking forward to our next stay here!!

Great weekend on Lake Murray

My husband and I booked for a weekend getaway for our 25th anniversary. This house is awesome and on a great part of the lake. Even though Hurricane Ian decided to show up on our weekend, we still had a great time and were able to get out on the lake a couple of times. House has a great TV for watching football! I can't say enough about how nice the homeowner, Clint, was and how responsive. A great weekend! We will rent this one again!

Lake Murray-Chapin, SC.June 2023 Stay

The renovated house, private boat ramp, and dock were the best! The lake view from the back screened porch are hard to match, beautiful not to forget, fishing off the dock. We launched and docked our 20’ pontoon boat at the property, no driving to a Marina needed! Ample parking for trailer and cars. Owner Clint was very responsive to our pre arrival questions and if we needed anything during our stay! Nice quiet area and close to Chapin for groceries and dining. Picturesque lakeside retreat with all the amenities

First time booking with VRBO… Clint was so accommodating prior to check-in & during our stay. Thoughtfully upgraded home, while maintaining historic lakeside integrity. Quiet neighborhood, with easy access to shopping / grocery. Perfect getaway to just unplug, enjoy good company, and soak in some sun by the lake. We spent the majority of our time on the private dock, and screened in porch overlooking the water. If you’re looking for a perfect lake side escape, this is it! Can’t say enough good things, 10/10 would recommend!! Will certainly be back!

Family stay

It is a beautiful place with awesome scenery we had a great time. The only thing is we could not adjust the temperature of the house. All three of the control panels were touchscreen and all 3 went blank within an hour of arrival. It was unfortunate that we could not regulate the temperature ourselves.

Beautiful Lake House

Our stay was perfect. Outstanding home on the lake. Home was furnished with everything you needed and exactly how it was listed. Clint responded promptly when had issue with lock box. My husband and dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was big and would be great for several families especially with kids. Didn't want for anything. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Coming from Utah the home was convenient to the town of Chapin and surrounding areas. Highly recommend. Can't wait to return the Chapin area for another stay.

Beautiful home and stunning views

Oh what a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful and updated. The screened porch with the view is stunning. If you are traveling with older adults in your group, BE AWARE the living area has a step down and you step up when you leave it. My 76 year old mom nearly fell on multiple occasions. The front door also has the door jam raised and everyone in our party tripped on that multiple times. Ha. Just thought id share. Its furnished very nicely. I would recommend bringing your own throw cover as there was only one throughout the home and we enjoy cool mornings on the porch. Be sure to also bring your own soap and shampp for showering as none is provided. We so much enjoyed our stay and would stay again and again. Just look down while walking.

Great Lake Murray location

We had a great time on our Lake Murray vacation! Loved the location of this house. The ramp and dock were great to have on property given we brought our boat. The house space was good and we all enjoyed the screened porch! Ate there for most meals. There was a garage but that space was more of a construction area so not usable for us. We did have an issue with dog hair on the furniture, particularly the porch sofas. That was unexpected but luckily we had a lint roller. Not what we thought we would be doing upon arrival. The door knobs need checking as some were on backwards and some did not lock. The septic tank buzzer went off daily but there is a button to push to make it stop. The neighborhood was mostly quiet and the cove made a nice view.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta but moved to Charleston when I was 18. I absolutely love Charleston but can't quite get the lake life out of my system. It's what I was born and raised around. Finding this house was one of the best things that has happened to my family. We would have started renting it out summer of 2022 but we used it so much we just delayed renting it. I hope your family enjoys it as much as ours does. My kids will have memories to last a lifetime.

This has everything you could want to enjoy the lake. Large screen porch and deck with a grill, nice sized yard, nice dock with seating, floater and a boat ramp to ease in and out of the water. The house was remodeled in 2022 with a new 3 zone, heating and air condition system so you can stay comfortable through all seasons. A tandem kayak, paddle board and small inflatable raft will let you get on the water. You can rent a boat and anchor out at a nearby sandbar or go to one of the restaurants on the lake.
