Welcome to our cozy and rustic 4-bedroom Big Iron Bunkhouse, perfectly located in the heart of Red Lodge, Montana! Enjoy walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants, the rodeo and fairgrounds, with a 10-minute drive to the Red Lodge Ski Resort and easy access to the majestic Beartooth Highway.

Key Features:

• Dog-Friendly with Enclosed Yard: Bring your furry friends along to enjoy the fully enclosed front and back yard, perfect for safe play and relaxation.

• Prime Location: Stroll to downtown Red Lodge for dining, shopping, and entertainment, or take a short drive to the ski slopes, top-notch golf course, and the famous Beartooth Highway.

• Comfortable Bedrooms: Three of our four bedrooms are equipped with a Roku smart TV, ample closet space, a fan, a space heater, and premium linens.

• Bathrooms: Three bathrooms stocked with premium shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and plush towels (one with a bathtub/shower combo and two with showers).

• Fully Stocked Kitchen: Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with all essentials. If you need something specific, just ask!

• Outdoor Relaxation: Unwind by the propane fire pit or the wood-burning fire pit in the backyard. The outdoor space also features a Weber Performer Deluxe charcoal grill, an outdoor dining table, a newly added back patio, and additional outdoor seating. Use of wood-burning fires and the charcoal grill is subject to current local fire restrictions. Guests are responsible for checking Red Lodge/Carbon County restrictions before use. Propane is not provided or guaranteed, though there is typically propane available for guest use. We simply ask that if you empty a propane tank during your stay, you refill it as a courtesy to the next guest.

• Comfort & Entertainment: Relax in the cozy living room with a 64” smart TV, and for your comfort, we’ve added a portable air conditioning unit in the living/dining room and a window unit in the upstairs hallway. High-speed Wi-Fi is also available throughout the home.

• Family-Friendly: A portable travel crib is available for families traveling with infants.

While our group enjoyed staying in a spacious home so close to town with a beautiful yard and fire pit for gathering, there was a lack of air circulation and it was extremely warm which made it difficult to sleep. The fans installed on the bedroom walls did not push air at all, the small window air conditioner did not cool off the upstairs and bedrooms. The floor AC helped a little but a larger unit would be more effective. Because of the heat and humidity there was an odour of dogs. While we knew it was a dog friendly home, and many of us own dogs, we didn’t expect the smell. A friendly recommendation would be to remove carpeting which is worn and absorbs smells. The home was spacious and walking distance to downtown which was fabulous. Seeing the deer roaming around was precious.

Great location, cute house!

This was the perfect stay for us. The host was welcoming, informative and provided us with everything we needed. The house is cute and in the perfect location, just a few blocks from the main street of Red Lodge- close to shopping and restaurants. Great backyard as well. Would definitely recommend!

Family Gathering in Montana

Three generations met in Montana for a few days. We decided on Red Lodge. The town is very welcoming and charming. Our vacation rental was a few blocks from town which was so appreciated as we could walk everywhere. The house and yard were great for the kids and dog to run around in. A very pleasant trip for all of us.

Red Lodge Rendezvous!

We were doing some work with the local power company took advantage of our opportunity with a little site seeing and night life of the town. Great location within easy walking distance. The quiet neighborhood and fenced yard was everything we needed and more than we wanted. I will definitely be back again.

Great location!

This was a nice property with a great location. Easy to walk everywhere. There is a school across the street, so I don't know how that would impact the stay as kiddos weren't back to school yet. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Cute and Cozy!

We stayed here over New Years and had a great stay. House was very clean and check in was super easy! The location was awesome and the nice big yard which was great for our dog. The house had plenty of towels, linens, kitchen items, etc. We had everything we needed. The kids had a great time playing hide and seek around the house, there was lots of little nooks and crannies to hide in. We will definitely stay here again!

Red Lodge, MT House in town

Our group had a wonderful stay at the Red Lodge house in town. This was easy access for everything we had planned to do. The house was clean and in a quiet neighborhood, with easy street parking for every one in our group. We took this house because of the 4 bedrooms and was dog friendly. ( we ended up with no dog and down 3 people) but it worked out just fine

Spacious Home, Great Hosts

This is a lovely home in downtown Red Lodge. There is ample space for everyone, great outdoor space, and all is laid out well. This home has some cool historic finishes that lend to the quintessential Red Lodge experience. My family asked if we could check in a day early and Julie worked with us diligently to honor the request. Thank you, Julie!

Red Lodge

Our stay at Julie’s house in Red Lodge was delightful. The house is well stocked with anything you might need on a trip away from home. The house is located very close ri downtown. We walked to downtown for dinner both nights. Great location to explore this great little destination. Julie was very responsive with any of my questions regarding the house etc. we would definitely stay here again! Thanks for letting us enjoy your place for a quick weekend getaway!

Easy and Convenient

My family and I had a great stay! The house is in short walking distance to restaurants, shopping, a playground, and the public pool. The house is nice and spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. Each room had a fan and the living room had an AC unit for the hot summer months. It was really easy to get information from Julie. She made the stay easy and comfortable! We hope to be back!

Perfect for Family Gatherings

This is a perfect home for family gatherings. Nine of us plus 2 dogs stayed at the home for Christmas. The rooms were cozy, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was large & well stocked with anything we needed for preparing meals. It was nice to have a large table for puzzles & games. The house was very clean. We really appreciated the fenced in yard for the dogs! They had a blast running around the yard. Thank you for allowing pets!Downtown Red Lodge is a short easy walk away. Julie was very responsive to any question we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Hello! We are a family who absolutely loves the magical little town of Red Lodge, Montana.

My husband is from Dallas, Texas, and I’m from Southern California. We recently started our family a little later in life with our miracle baby girl, and we couldn’t be happier. She was an embryo frozen for 13 years, created by my husband and his late wife. Amazingly, I was able to carry her to full term at 47 years old. We feel incredibly blessed with our joyful little family.

We both have a deep passion for winter sports—I’ve been snowboarding for over 30 years, and my husband has been skiing for just as long. Red Lodge is the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy, with its fantastic slopes and beautiful surroundings.

We are also a dog-loving family with two wonderful dogs: a 12-year-old Bracco Italiano and a 14-year-old Jack Russell. They bring us so much joy, and we understand how important it is to travel with furry family members.

Professionally, I work as a sales representative in the Action Sport and Optical industry, while my husband works in the Fuel and Asphalt industry.
