Beware of Listing
We booked this condo in November (paid in full) for a family spring break trip in April. Shortly after booking, I received a confirmation from property manager confirming reservation,
The night before we were due to checked in April 13, which was the last night of our cruise, I reached out to owner for details on the check-in process, as it was never sent as promised. The morning we were checking in (also leaving our cruise ship), I received a notice from the property manager stating he had to cancel the reservation and he had double booked. He also stated this was not the first incident. As you can imagine, I was in panic mode as our party of six (three small kids) had nowhere to stay – to boot, there was also a storm that closed FT Lauderdale airport and a large concert, so no hotels available in the same area. We ended up having to book two separate hotel rooms in a different area that were double the cost with half the amenities due to late booking!!!!
Horrible experience for a mom who pre-booked/pre-planned the trip in November.
It was almost more disappointing how easy it was for the property manager to cancel without offering some type of future discount or something to make-up for the inconvenience he caused us both with our time and money!
