Extra shower outdoors, fabulous screened porch, small beach for floating your cares away, enjoying a sunset glass of wine, or gazing at incredible starry night...

Note: We have a security camera at the shared driveway entry gate that monitors the neighborhood road plus first 30 ft of shared driveway.

Great place! Here to watch my son - great parking (even for a boat and truck)! Nice for a solo or couple. Great view - right on the water - 20 minutes to good restaurants and shopping. Excellent host communication! Would stay again!

2nd Time! Awesome again!

Great lil get away. 2nd time staying at this location, perfect for a quiet reset into the new year. Charming cottage, love the screened in porch (2), great space to kick back, love hearing the lake sounds. Nice bathroom with washer/dryer. Ample areas to sit for board games, reading, zoning out, eating. Thank you Mark! Host respects the process.

Stunning location

We loved our stay! Very private and absolutely stunning scenery. The water pressure was amazing and a nice surprise. There is a longer walk and steps to get to the cabin, which may not be ideal for anyone with mobility concerns. It is the perfect little getaway for a couple!

Best romantic getaway

This property is exactly as it shows online. Clean, quaint and quiet. Kitchen was well equipt as we like to cook ourselves as opposed to eating out. Bed was very comfortable. Shower is very large and the outdoor shower was great to rinse off from the private beach area. There are several places to sit and relax while taking in the beautiful views of the lake, which our little dog just loved. This is the perfect place for a couples getaway!

Perfect little getaway

We had a wonderful weekend here! The view was gorgeous, and we really enjoyed having the screened in porch. The cabin was equipped with upscale features, and the bed was so comfortable. We also really loved being able to have our little dog with us. We hope to be back!

Sunset heaven

Such a beautiful cottage. Very upscale and perfect for a getaway. Location on the lake had wonderful sunsets every evening. Homeowners were onsite and very accommodating. Would love to go again in the fall when leaves are turning.

Fantastic!

We really needed a weekend getaway and relaxation. This was absolutely perfect. Great beach for a swim. Multiple options to relax outdoors, both in the sun and shade. Marvelous sunsets. We will definitely look at renting again in the future.

Modoc cabin on Thurmond Lake was awesome

This property is fantastic. Perfect size for a couple. Neat, clean, well equipped, and IT mastered. The sunsets right out the porch looking over the lake was the best part. Mark is an awesome host. Exceptional in all points. We will be back next year. Thanks for an outstanding stay!!

Real Love

We absolutely love it. It's peaceful. The perfect place to get away from the everyday work life. The views were beautiful .....even though it rained our 1st 2 days it was not disappointing. The pictures don't do the place justice it is very nicely decorated. My husband said we will go back!!!!!

Our Secret Getaway

Perfect hideaway right in your own backyard. The time travel was perfect, right around the corner but yet it felt like we were out of town. Yes we would and will do it again!!! The only thing is once it gets dark you can’t see anything outside, the water would have been beautiful to see at night. P.S during the day the scenery is so beautiful ♥️

Great Cabin

We were meeting friends from Florida at the state park and we don’t camp! We found this beautiful cabin on VRBO and it was perfect! The location and views were perfect! It was exactly as described!

A little piece of heaven

The little cabin was just right for us. The views were great! The sunsets were absolutely stunning. It was very relaxing and very peaceful. The neighborhood was nice. We will stay again.

Cozy place with amazing views

This was a great stop between long weekends in other cities. Wish we would have stayed longer! The place was equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable! The views and outdoor space were perfect and so very relaxing.

Slice of Eden

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin. The views are absolutely beautiful. The grounds are very well maintained with lots of color from the Crape Myrtle trees, Hydrangeas and Trumpet Vines. The dock was not usable, but we are hopeful our next visit the dock is available to fish or swim from. Overall, this was a welcoming slice of Eden. Looking forward to our next trip of R&R.

Peaceful retreat

The property was outstanding to unplug and totally unwind. We brought our paddleboards and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from the water. The cabin was super nice and cozy. We loved all the different outsoor seating areas and will definitely be back.
