Perfect for couples, families, and getaways. Proximity to beach, malls, movies, and anything else one needs! You'll enjoy the quiet neighborhood and the charm of an old Florida home.

To clarify, this house is what our guests call "outdated". Any 'normal' person would immediately renovate the kitchen and baths. However, our family enjoys this unique aspect.

Just because a thing is old doesn't mean you get rid of it. The oven and stove are probably from the 50's, back when they built things to last. They both work as intended. Walking into this home is a little like time traveling.

If you're looking for modern and up to date - keep looking. As long as the showers, baths, sinks, and appliances are working we're going to keep them around. We find these 'outdated' objects to be a charming quality, not an offensive burden.

Be advised: this listing offers high speed wi-fi, but NOT cable, satellite, or local tv. Both TV's will allow you to access streaming - bring your log in for hulu, youtube, netflix, etc.

Disappointed

If i could give negative stars I would. The day of check in the host was unreachable and never returned my calls or messages. Even VRBO could not get a hold of the host. It was Spring Break weekend and i had to find accommodations the day we arrived and paid more than I should have with last minute accommodations. I have used VRBO for rentals for many years and this was the worst experience ever!

Too sweet!

Stayed for Orioles Spring training and had a blast. Spacious quarters and easy access to surrounding area. Would stay again!

Family vacation

Always take a few weeks off in the winter to go to Florida. The home was comfortable good location for us. Host was very hospitable.

The property is old school but that is all I needed so that worked for me. The pillows in the master bedroom needs upgraded other than that nice place.

Soccer Tournament Stay

This house was perfect for our needs. We had to have 1 night in between Saturday & Sunday games. We prefer renting a house vs a hotel room. The property was exactly as listed.

Kensington Park Sarasota Review

1st week the internet went out and the manager was quick to contact the provider to fix. No problem there, but I wish we had know the TV was set upt to streaming and no cable. We arrived with no passcodes. The TV was unavailable to us and we used our laptop during our stay. The garage and laundry were convenient and appreciated. However, the kitchen was way below basic needs. The dishes were stained and had been used as cutting boards, dinner plates were plastic divided picnic plates normally used for children who want to keep their food separated. The fridge needed a thorough cleaning from the rusted freezer shelf, food pieces below the veg. drawers and dirty, filthy air vent at the very bottom. The appliances are vintage which is OK but they must be cleaned. I had to clean the coffee pot and utensils before use. The house is advertised to sleep 7 but only dinnerware available for 4. Not a sharp cutting knife to be had. We purchased paper plates for our stay. A grill is provided but no grilling tools. What REALLY irks me is I paid an exorbitant cleaning fee and expect the place to be CLEAN. The primary shower tile mopboards need to be treated for what looks like mold. The tile in 2nd bathroom also needs mold treatment along with the floor tile mopboards. The pillows on the king bed were nothing more than waded up polyester fill wadded up in old pillowcases. The laundry hamper had dirt crusted on the inside bottom which we didn't use. The entire house needs to be thoroughly cleaned with a reputable sanitizing products for the safety of each new resident. This is a residence that has alot of potential and is in need of a paint job inside and out, a thorough cleaning, if the place sleeps 7 there should be dishes and utensils for 7 people, grilling tools, degrease the stove top push buttons. clean all grout in kitchen and bath, clean air vents, provide clean dishes, pots and pans, and seriously clean for potential mold in the bathroom showers. There is no way this listing justifies a the cleaning fee and VRBO/owner should consider refunding the fee.

Bekvämt och rymligt boende

Rymligt hus med allt vi behövde, läget var perfekt för oss, lugnt område med parkering precis utanför. Flexibel värd som var mycket enkel att kommunicera med.

Very cozy. plenty of room and bedrooms. Could have more cooking utensils and pot holders etc. Also would of liked a couple charis to sit outside.

Beware what rustic, quaint, and natural mean...

Wow, where to start. As a vacation rental host myself, it pains me when I come across these questionable listings. But we decided to try it because UT couldn't be that bad, could UT? (Teaser... yes!) First the positives - (1) it was a private house with a kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. The owner did not bother us too much; (2) fruit and coffee was supplied. That's about all of the positives that I can think of. Negatives (with full picture documentation) - (1) oven was nasty with burnt on stuff and looks never to have been cleaned; (2) bugs, bugs, and bugs with insects in the sinks and cockroach pieces behind the micro and INSIDE the barely functioning toaster; (3) rusted shelves in the fridge and freezer along with tons of ice buildup that made it hard to open; (4) there was no outdoor grill so we could not cook unless we used cockroach kitchen; (5) unusable yard with no chairs or patio or anything, just plain brown yucky grass; (6) broken and falling apart lamps. All in all, not worth the money. It's a bait and switch. The owner uses the words rustic and makes excuses for not putting any money or modernization into the house. His motto, as he proudly states, is "if it ain't broke then don't fix it". My grandma's foot-driven sewing machine is not broke, but who wants that compared to a modern electric sewing machine? Very disappointed.
