Roomy, well appointed. Quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Host was very helpful. 6 adults were not crowded at all. Good parking for 3 vehicles. Very nice back yard and again, well appointed.Definitely will look to stay next year.

Fonda is the best host we have experienced in many years. Ocanoe Houz is charming and very cozy. Our granddaughter enjoyed the books, games and Christmas decor.

This location exceed our expectations! Smack in the middle of everything, fire pit for the fun and conversations to continue into the night! Lots of space and a host of games to get the fun started right way! Thank you for having us in your home you helped make this Thanksgiving a truly special one!

The inside of the house is a nice set up. They have games and nicely decorated. However, there was a used washcloth left in the shower of the main bathroom, which made me feel uncomfortable with using that bathroom due to the soiled washcloth. I had to travel all the way upstairs from downstairs to use the bathroom. In addition the yard is poorly landscape.

Ms. Moore and Guests Please understand and know that your description of our lawn as "poorly maintained" is a bit unfair. As the Mid-Atlantic Region has recently experienced poor weather conditions to made it near impossible to cut/trim/treat due to rain, snow, and temperatures in the week prior to your arrival. We ask for grace as we transition into the season of beauty. Although the bathroom was cleaned, there was an oversight of retrieving the used wash cloth. We ask guests to place all used in the provided laundry hampers. The cleaning team did clean the bathroom but their oversight in retrievihg any missed soiled linens was not accomplished. Thererfore, the issue was addressed about perception. Being uncomfortable not using the bathroom due to that perception is understandable. We hope that you return in the future to a better experience as we take note, and strive foe continual process improvement. Otherwise, we hope you enjoyed your stay. Great getaway

My family of 7 stayed for a weekend trip to attend a graduation. The house was perfect for what we needed. Highly reccomend.

Sadly Do Not Recommend

First to say that the first impression was great. Enjoyed the location and house was nice. Minor issues with door knobs. Daughter got stuck in room. Internet poor. Minor issues. Sadly once we left it went south. Accused of losing an item that ended up being found by them. We left a small item behind. Multiple contacts were made and told it was found and they would ship. Then no contact back and was ignored and had to contact VRBO for a phone contact. Reached the owner and was told would be shipping item beginning of next week. Then again had to contact again and finally was told item was shipped. A couple more days later. Now it has been almost a month since the stay. Sadly the attitude of kindness was then being charged a large fee to ship a small item that only costs 7$ to ship. So please beware if you stay and be sure you leave absolutely nothing behind or move any items as you will be charged. Not to mention so most rental properties constantly video tape activities now? Just hoping is only outside. But do feel that should be posted as well when you stay.

Monica - your items are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. There was time and resources to accomplish sending YOU an item YOU were responsible for. I agree completely. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND. It is GUEST RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR PERSONAL ITEMS. We are a small business, and as a courtesy, we send items that need to be returned. We had no problem with you returning to retrieve them. You opted out. THE OCANOE HOUZ DOES NOT VIDEO INSIDE THE PROPERTY. PERIOD. POINT BLANK. We have security outside the home 24-7 with a sign visible at the front of the property and at the foot of the steps before entering the home. Reading is fundamental. We ask guests to read the house rules before making reservations. Understand that guests' safety is paramount. We are sorry you had an unpleasant experience when we extended every courtesy possible.
