Relax and comfortable living and working spaces. Great eacape for family and travel workers. Walking distances to yoga studio, coffee house, workout gym, 5mins to famous posh cities Birmingham and royal oak. 20min to Detroit and 10min famous LGBT town Ferndale. 5mins to the biggest hospital in Michigan- Beaumont hospital. 5-15min driving distance to many amazing restaurants, and the most luxury shopping mall in Midwest- Somerset mall. 10min to Detroit Zoo, 20 min to famous DIA, MoCAD, Henry Ford Museum, Motown museum, Cranbrook Art Institute

We did not have an accurate code for entry and needed a physical key. Also, the bedding at checkout was vague and seemed to imply that we needed to wash bedding before we left. Nitpicking, we had a nice stay and place was great for our purposes. AC could be better as we were warm the weekend.

Overall, this home was fine for a weekend stay for my friends and I. All of the basics were there. That said, there are some things that could’ve made the property/stay excellent. For starters, placing air fresheners in the house would have been great. The smell of the house was not pleasant upon entry. Bottled water in refrigerator; coffee and tea would’ve been great as well. More soap and lotion in the bathrooms would’ve been nice. The curtain rod over the patio door kept falling when the curtains were drawn. The property was advertised as a 4 bedroom house, although I didn’t need 4 bedrooms, there were only 3 true bedrooms. Maybe an area in the basement could be used as a 4th bedroom?? Again, minor touches would have pushed my review to an excellent.

Comfy house in a quiet neighborhood.

We stayed for 18 days while visiting family. The house was a great get away at the end of each day. The host was easy to contact as we're newbies to VRBO and had a few questions. The only feature the house didn't have was a dishwasher, which is common among the older homes in the area. I would stay here again if we have another extended visit!

Couch

Hello, It is conveniently located to stores, markets, restaurants and gas stations. I enjoyed my stay. It appears from the pictures that the couch would be taller but it’s very low to the ground which makes it difficult for tall and/or older people to get up off the couch. Take care, Anthony

The Bare Minimum

That cute mid-century white couch pictured in the living room is gone and replaced with a very non mid-century over-stuffed one. It was comfortable but it's really disappointing when you walk in and the whole "Palm Springs" vibe was a bait and switch. Tons of closet hanging space but not a drawer or shelf in the bedroom to place jewelry and non-hanging stuff. I went to check if the other two bedrooms had a dresser or night stand but the other two bedrooms were locked and I didn't have access to them even though I rented the whole house. I made do by clearing some shelves in the hall linen closet. Access to the bedroom that had a desk pictured would have been nice to set up my office for the week but I just set up in the kitchen. That striking colorful wall in the kitchen did make a good zoom background.Toiletries provided were the bare minimum. There was maybe 1/4 left to the Garnier shampoo, but I don't wash my hair everyday. I will give a shout out to the host for snow removal. When I was there December 2024 it snowed, and to my surprise before 9am, their service cleared the driveway and porch. I very much appreciated this.I also have to give good remarks about location. For anyone familiar with metro Detroit, this location is great. Close to the Woodward corridor and very central but I won't be staying there again,
