Our cottage is located just a short 4-minute walk (0.3 miles) to the serene Emerald Lake. Emerald Lake offers a neighborhood boat launch, 4 beaches (one with a children's playground), and docks for plenty of fun!
Our home provides room for 6 guests to sleep. It features 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath (shower only), an open kitchen/living room and a laundry/mud room. The kitchen is equipped with anything and everything you need to make your favorite meals.
All bed linens are provided along with bath towels for each guest.
Our home has Wi-Fi, A/C, beach toys, kayaks, and plenty of board games, toys, and videos to keep everyone in the family entertained.

Looking for some adventure? Or maybe you prefer to relax a bit and rejuvenate? Either way, the Hillsborough area has something for everyone.
-Spend the days fishing or lounging in the sun before enjoying a nighttime swim at one of the 4 beaches around Emerald Lake (aka Gould Pond).
-Hop in one of our kayaks for a relaxing lake stroll.
-Take advantage of our bicycles and go for a ride around the lake or check out the Contoocook River trail in town.
- Launch your boat (boat launch is at the end of our road) and spend a day on the lake.
**Bring your own boat (10 mph max) – Emerald Lake (Gould Pond) allows small motorized boats with a speed limit of 10 mph. Most boats with small electric or low-horsepower motors are welcome. Please note: no high-speed boating is allowed on the lake.
- Star gaze at night- they are incredible!
-Relax in the backyard by the chiminea.
-Take a hike through Fox State Forest to see Black Gum Swamp or Mud Pond.
-Tee off at Angus Lee's 9-hole golf course located in town.
-Take your quad, dirt bike, or snow mobile and ride along one of the many nearby trails located right in Emerald Lake Village District or the Hillsborough town center. (Guests are responsible for checking local laws regarding ATV use.)
- Ice fish or snowshoe for some cold weather fun (when conditions allow).
-Check out the local ski resorts- Pat's Peak Ski Resort just a 15 minute drive away. Mount Sunappe (our favorite) is a 40 minute drive and Crotched Mountain is 30 minutes away. The White Mountains ski resorts are approximately 90 minutes away.
Looking for more adventure? A little further away is the beautiful White Mountains and Lake Winnipesaukee with plenty to keep you entertained for days. If you like to shop, be sure to check out the Tilton outlets on your way.

-Use of 1 adult kayaks and 2 child kayaks ***Lifejackets are available for guest use (2 adults, 2 children under 50 lbs, but we recommend guest to bring their own to ensure correct size). Use of kayaks and floats are at your own risk.
*Guests must be able to transport kayaks to the lake.

A few things to note:
* Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage (this includes e-cigarettes)
*Do not tamper with or cover up outdoor security cameras. 24/7 outdoor security cameras are located above the front door and in the side yard (to view the chiminea).
*Use of kayaks and swim floats are at your own risk.
*The indoor fireplace is currently not working. We are working on a resolution and apologize for the inconvenience. The wood-burning stove is not for guest use.
*Any locked cabinets, the outdoor shed, and the basement are not for guest use. Do not tamper with any locks.
*Guests are responsible for checking daily with local agencies to determine if fires are safe for that particular day.

--Fire Marshalls may come around and
issue fines. Owners are not liable for

--Firewood is not provided. It can be purchased at local stores and/or gas
stations.
--Do not cut any trees on the property.
--Fill the provided bucket with water and completely extinguish the fire at the end of the night (or use the hose located at the front of the house).
*Non-compliance with house rules may result in removal from the property and /or additional fees.
