We had an excellent time at this property. Owners were very responsive and prompt with any questions we had. The only 4 star I gave was because of all the bugs outside at night. Weren’t aware that sitting outside was pretty impossible but also being on the lake all day made us pretty tired anyway!!!! I can’t wait to go back to this same place next year. They had everything there you could possibly need!!!

We had very great 4 day stay at your lovely lake. Very clean and a well supplied kitchen. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms.

The house was so cute and clean! It appears there may be some pest issues. However, you can tell they really care about their property and keep it well stocked. Communication with the host was so good! They always responded right away! The layout of the home is nice and open. We enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend!

Fishing trip at Big Stone

Everything was perfect for our type of fishing vacation. We had everything we needed and the property was excellent. Fully equipped and very comfortable.

Great family getaway

Overall, great property at a great rate. It was very clean and organized. There is a boat lift right at the dock which is extremely convenient for extended stays. The beds were comfortable. Perfect family getaway, stacked with things do to rain or shine.

Friends Fishing Trip

Clinton MNWith a heavy heart, I need to post a poor review. Everything I am sharing, I have already shared with the owner.The outside on the patio, has many spiders spinning webs from dusk to dawn. Unable to enjoy the nights sitting on the patio deck. There are SO many dead bugs on the patio enclosure that my wife is disgusted and won’t sit outside during the day, nor night.All the doorways have attracted spiders and dead bugs that makes it a challenge to leave the house, especially at night.I realize that this is a lake front property in the woods and insects are expected. But this house needs a serious power wash and spider spray maintenance weekly. The landscaper came without advanced noticed and sprayed the side of my car with grass clippings that were so stuck to my car that I need to use my fingernails to remove the debris.The water pressure is extremely low. One day the water was off completely. The inside of the house is very clean and comfortable. The hedge on the patio near the lake is overgrown by 2-feet and while sitting on that patio, instead of enjoying the wonder view of the lake, you are looking directly into a row of overgrown hedges.The owners are very nice and responded to my messages, although most issues were not resolved during our 2-week stay. The owner should consider a local professional property manager to address guest concerns while staying at the property. The owners do not live locally.I hope to warn future guests and

What we needed

We had just moved and were all exhausted and enjoyed the peace and quiet! We had nice weather and loved the porch! There was plenty of room for all of us and the Zugers were so accommodating! They know how to make you feel at home. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Family fishing trip

We really enjoyed our stay at big Stone! The house and property was exactly what was advertised. Plenty of room for four grown adult adults. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We spent a lot of time outside either sitting on the back porch or down by the lake fishing. It is about 20 minutes to Ortonville, but that wasn’t a problem with for us. The communication was outstanding. If you want a peaceful, well appointed property … I highly recommend this house.

The house is in a great location less than 2 miles from public access. Property managers are great people, they respond back quickly with any questions you have. Would stay here again! See you soon.

Quiet and relaxing

Large indoor and outdoor space that allows you to relax or play as you wish. Comfortable, clean home with TVs in each bedroom plus a large one in the huge living room. Loved the collection of books and games offered. So glad it had a dock and was near a free boat launch, but do be aware that the dock is down a steep hill and could be difficult for some to get to. Pro tip: Bring drinking water!

Great summer vacation spot

Our stay was everything we expected! Large garage was an added plus you don’t get other places. Owner was awesome and very responsive! House was very roomy, clean and nicely decorate! Drop off to the lake was a surprise but it really did not change much. We had 2 boats docked each night. The neighbors are awesome.

House was very nice. Things in house hard to find. Electric stove not the best had to get down on hands and knees to find things in back of cupboards ran out of dish soap. Advertised docks for boats they were not in.

Nice Place!

We had a good time! Inside of home was VERY clean, beds were comfortable, view of the lake was wonderful and the A/C kept us comfortable on hot days. Owner was great to work with before and during the stay. We did feel the photo of the grassy landscape incline from the lake was a bit misleading. No photo of the steps built into the hillside - they don’t feel super secure. We had a 78 yr old in the group and the walk up from the lake was tough. Heck, it was a bit tough on all the adults! Lol
