The property itself was beautiful and the location was was very nice. The problem was the water. I had read the previous reviews that there were issues with the water, but the host/owner had commented that there had been a complete overhaul of the entire filtering system since those reviews. I specifically asked if the water was now ok, and was told that the problem with the sulfur smell had been fixed. Again, when we got to the property we were very satisfied with the house itself. It was as described and very roomy, but then we turned the water on. The smell was HORRIBLE. It was throughout the entire house, every faucet, every shower, every toilet. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and even let the water run for a bit, opened windows and gave it our best effort, but there was just no way we could tolerate it. We couldn't shower, fix food, brush our teeth, wash clothes or anything. The hosts solution was that we could purchase bottled water and that they would reimburse us for that. We said absolutely not, and they did move us to a different house, BUT that house was only a 4 bedroom home when we had booked a 5 bedroom house. This was not ideal for us as we were on a work trip and we each needed our own room. So, basically because we had no other option we moved to the other home which was beautiful, but again only 4 bedroom. The homeowners need to have this fixed before attempting to rent this house again. I think they have tried, but don't rent until you KNOW its ok.
