Wanderlust retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin outside Buena Vista! It is a beautiful cabin in a stunning location. The hosts were responsive and wonderful to work with. The cabin instructions/info were clear and comprehensive. This time away brought the rest and restoration we needed!

Updated cabin in the woods

Everything went well when we checked in, and communicating with our host was easy. They replied very quickly to messages. My son enjoyed the small arcade downstairs and watching movies on the main level.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

My family and I chose this cabin for our Thanksgiving and it was literally perfect. Woke up to deer walking through the snow in the front yard, has a perfectly equipped kitchen to cook a large meal, and close enough to Buena Vista/Salida for a fun day trip while feeling like we were far out in the country. We don't have a single complaint! The stargazing out there is unbelievable and the cabin is so cozy. When we arrived, there was about 1.5 ft of snow but the driveway was plowed as well! I'd recommend this place to everyone and hope to be back soon :)

The cabin was awesome. Host did an incredible job in making us feel at home. Everything we needed was provided. Cabin property is beautiful. We really enjoyed the views, the stars, and the peace and quiet. We had a very nice quiet retreat.

Excellent location and wonderful stay

The cabin is perfect for 2,4 or 6 even 7 people. Very very clean and inviting and location was perfect for what we like to do. The communication was excellent with Terry and never had an issue. This will be my go to place to stay year after year for the wildlife, amenities, location and wonderful hosts.

Peaceful but convenient cabin in the woods

This was our first Vrbo experience as a family and we couldn’t have been happier with the stay. From horseshoes in the back, games and a Ms Pac-Man downstairs, a fan in every bedroom, and a well stocked kitchen, the owners have thought of everything to make your stay convenient and enjoyable. They even build your first fire in the wood stove should you choose to use it. You just need to light it. The property is a haven for those who love wildlife and quiet, yet it is conveniently located near Buena Vista and Salida or a day trip to Breckenridge

Everything about this cabin is Top Notch!! From the secluded, peaceful property to the proximity to towns and activities. The cabin itself is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. Just what we were looking for

First, the property was very clean, which is a big deal for us. Checking in and out were easy. The house is about 20 minutes from town, but we wanted to be out in the mountains, so the drive was totally worth it. It’s in a beautiful area and we would stay there again.

Cabin with a view of the mountains and the stars

I wanted a property outside of a town to enjoy a week of hiking in the mountains. This log home was perfect. It was clean and quiet. The location was about 30 minutes from Buena Vista and an hour from Breckenridge. I wish we could have stayed another week.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway

Fantastic Mountain Retreat

We have long planned for work/vacation to get away from the Georgia heat for a few weeks. We selected this listing from the many available. Absolutely stunning! The property is beautifully maintained, offering breathtaking mountain views and all the modern amenities one could wish for. The host was incredibly responsive and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal for both relaxation and adventure (and remote work too), with easy access to hiking trails and local attractions. We especially loved the cozy interior and the serene outdoor space. Highly recommend this gem for a memorable getaway!

Hi guests!!! We're the owners, Terry & Ronnie....THANK YOU for checking out our little log cabin! We take great pride in our little place and are so thankful we get to share it with others. We do all of the cleaning ourselves to make sure everything is just right for your stay. This cabin has been Mr. Terry's labor of love since he retired. The cabin is close to everything but far enough away from the city life. We really enjoy our time here being in nature and the mountain views. Don't forget about the stars! Warm your toes by the wood stove and enjoy the stars from the couch ! The cabin is away from city lights so on a moonless night the stars are everywhere! Spend a little time looking up and hopefully you'll see a shooting star. We've seen lots! It's a great place to cozy up after a day of skiing or hiking, or tackling that 14er, or whatever your wandering takes you.
We know many guests want to bring their 4 legged love ones with them to the cabin. Please reach out to us for any concerns regarding the size of your dog.
