Hi Annamarie—thanks so much for staying with us and for the kind review. Glad you enjoyed the quiet and trees. We are a bit tucked away, and I can appreciate that some folks may not want to drive 15-minutes to the nearest town. We’re on a septic system so we are unable to get a dishwasher for our home, but the steamer is a great recc! Will update that item. And, I’m glad you noticed the quality of the home. We just recently renovated and freshened up our home and are delighted that our guests can enjoy it! I hope you and others return for a peaceful getaway!

Pamela, it was a pleasure to have you and your family stay with us during the archery tournament at Cacapon Resort State Park and we appreciate you sharing this feedback. We are so glad you felt that our home was equipped and clean. We take a lot of pride in our property. I am sorry to hear that there were some missed expectations during your stay. We love having a 5-acre property off the beaten path in a gorgeous tree-lined setting. That does indeed mean that we are 15-minutes away from the closest grocery stores, gas stations and towns. West Virginia is known for its outdoor activities, including the hunting and archery ranges and tournaments across the Eastern Panhandle. So you likely heard the training center/range that is ~5 miles away from our community. We are so sorry if that caught you off guard. In fact, our HOA does not allow hunting or shooting anywhere in the neighborhood to keep our community members and children safe. Finally, thanks for the feedback on the skylights. We installed the skylights and love the fully vaulted windows because we enjoy having sun pouring into our home throughout the day. We'll make sure to explicitly note that in our listing so guests are aware going forward. Thank you, again, and hope you and your family enjoy the last days of summer!
