This was our (group of older ladies) third year renting this property and plan on coming back again next year. The house is beautiful, the property is beautiful and the pool is perfect! We could not find a single thing wrong. Deer, Hummingbirds and Dove are plentiful too. Love Lonesome Dove!

What a wonderful place to stay! We had 3 couples and 2 adult children, and the layout was perfect. Each couple had a bedroom with a bathroom, while the kids each had their own bedroom and shared a bathroom. The pool was clean and so incredibly relaxing. The Hill Country views and setting were perfectly relaxing for a family wedding weekend. It was a lovely escape in between busy wedding activities. Looking forward to finding another occasion to stay! We loved it!

The property was beautiful, the house was nice and roomy. We took a girls trip 9 of us (aunts, cousins) and it was perfect for us. It’s located close to town 10 min drive. Wimberly is a cute little town.

Friends and I have rented this property four times and will continue to go back if it remains available. We noticed it is currently for sale so we hope it continues to be available.

Clean, beautiful property, great appliances, all bedrooms comfy, swimming pool very clean and quiet location. If we return to Wimberly will definitely try to stay here again.

What a great spot! Private and quiet with plenty of room for a family gathering (8 of us) during the holidays. Would recommend and would return!

Really nice, clean, and spacious place with all amenities. Having 3 bedrooms with their own bath is a big plus.We did not find matches or a lighter for the fire pit (the girls wanted to make s’more) but the grill is self started.The front deck is awesome for the morning yoga mat workouts by the rustling sound of the koi and lotus pond. Bring a spatial light source if you like to hang out in the warm pool at night. The host is very kind and accommodating. 15 minutes from the Blue Hole Regional Park is not bad at all.

Great property!

Enjoyed the pool and outdoor areas the most but had great living area and bedrooms too. We look forward to returning next year.

Lonesome Dove Stay Review

Great place to relax and unwind with Family. The house has plenty of room and has a huge yard with trees and orchards. Enjoyed our stay. Wished we had more time and could stay longer.

Great place for family fun!

We have stayed here last fall and again this summer. Both were fun for the entire family, especially using the pool in late July. We all enjoyed our stay and will probably come again next year!

Cole’s wedding group

8 of us stayed at Lonesome Dove for a family wedding. Very clean, comfortable and plenty of room to accommodate all of us. Plenty of porch space and the grounds were really nice.

Great place with plenty of room

Enjoyed our family gathering here. The bedrooms with on suite bathrooms were great. Made use of both refrigerators. Also enjoyed the outdoors areas including the screened porch.

Lonesome Dove was the perfect location for our fall family gathering. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for us all with a large dining table, spacious living room, big enclosed porch, deck, and front porch. We enjoyed using the hot tub and even the pool on a couple warm afternoons. The kitchen had everything we needed. The grounds and koi pond were peaceful and beautiful.

Lonesome Dove home near Wimberley

Great place , nice view and pool . Lots of full baths ! Big family room with high ceilings!! A lot of seating areas , including pool front porch, back screen porch, barbecue hot tub area, Koi Pond area with lots of deer on property.

Perfect for the whole family!

We enjoyed our stay here! The grandkids loved exploring the yard and finding natures treasure. Plenty of room for everyone to be together! We will definitely book again. Maybe during the summer and try out that beautiful pool!

Beautiful setting, great amenities

We (7 people) had a great time! The large house is in a very serene setting, beautiful pond with lovely landscaping. Having access to the private pool and hot tub was great at the end of each day. Just a few minutes to get into into town, this was the perfect place for our family/friends get-away.
