Nice to be right on the lake! This cabin is very peaceful. Easy to get to places like Big Rapids and Cadillac as well as other nearby locations

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Even though the cabin was on the smaller size, the layout was done is such a way that it did not feel cramped. The kitchen had everything I needed and the bath towels were very plush. The lake views were excellent (beautiful sunrises!) and the area was very quiet during my stay. I had some questions before and during my stay and James and Shawna were very responsive. I missed that there was no internet. After my stay, I eventually found that this was listed under amenities; I feel like this should have been added to "About this Property" where it would have been easier to see. It wasn't a huge deal as I wasn't planning on watching much TV or spend a lot of time on the computer, but it would have been nice to know as my phone plan does not have unlimited data and I ran out of data after the first day.

This was a great spot for a quick weekend getaway. It was quaint, and cozy with good appliances & well-stocked accessories - kitchen tools, towels, blankets, patio furniture & cushions, 2 kayaks w/ paddles, gas-fire heatbox, and beautiful water access.

It was ok because as we walked in the door was unlocked , this concern us concerned us. As we got inside, it had a very strong mouse odor found the Lysol spray sprayed the house with that open some of the windows and doors to let fresh air in and that was ok.The TV after spending almost an hour on the phone with our son in Louisville, Kentucky we got it to work one evening for about an hour and then it went out again and we could not get it figured out and I would not call my son back very poor way to have TV available should have just listed none available. The back deck should have been cleaned a bit maybe cushions on the chairs outside since it was an awesome weekend outside..A futon was listed for a second bed. Which actually was a leather couch with a pullout bed in it which my husband and I could not get opened so I ended up sleeping on a couch every night, which was very uncomfortable because the couch seem to be very worn out. And the bed was only comfortable if one of us slept on it. We were afraid is would break with two people.

Perfect little getaway cottage. The house was clean & well stocked with anything we might have forgotten to pack. Will definitely come back.

The cottage was as described, cozy yet comfortable. The location on the lake front is ideal.The cottage was well stocked with creature comforts, utensils for cooking and BBQ and firepit.I would return again should I visit the area in the future.

The check in was simple and easy. The home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had everything we needed to enjoy the home and the beautiful Idlewild Lake. Great host, I would definitely stay hear again.

There's so many things for us to say. We're not quite sure where to start. We loved that the one side property was just very private and very quiet and no one home next door. It is on a lake, sound travels of course and we heard boaters, music, people laughing, enjoying the weekend, and that was awesome. We bought water and some other items at the dollar general but the grocery store is 10 minutes away and you can get anything you need, including firewood. ( very nice people there) We leaned about the history of the area and found it fascinating. It is one of the most 'ghost town' areas (as it's described online) and we spent time on the water, making food and playing the games we brought. There is Baldwin kayaking for Pere Marquette river kayaking, canoe or raft and it was a blast...and BEAUTIFUL. Loved our little getaway for four nights. The things I think might be suggestions or concerns we wrote to the owners.The owners were very great about communication..If you want to watch t.v. Just make a Hotspot. We brought a thin rug from home for the door to the deck for our sand and such. Super clean place too with cute décor.Thanks for everything.

This was an Anniversary getaway

This is a very nice cottage,very clean, well thought out with very nice amenities, in a quiet location.. We look forward to a return visit.

Stay was again wonderful like last year. There was an issue with cottage and owners were contacted and the problem was resolved very quickly. This is a great scenic, quiet, and centrally located place to stay on Lake Idlewild. I look forward to it again next year.

Nice relaxing weekend

We had a nice weekend with our dogs and had a last minute scheduling that the hosts were accommodating of. Their communication was timely and I formative.

Beautiful lake house. Felt right at home. Very clean. Location is perfect right in the heart of Idlewild down the road from Paradise Park. I would definitely book again! 10/10!
