This home-based very nice and well equipped. It was in a nice setting and within a very reasonable distance to local stores, resturants, and activities.

Very comfortable, and we'd stay again. Would have appreciated details written down ie wifi password, local sites and restaurants, and check out procedures. A few more cooking supplies would have been nice like spices and oils. Kitchen was nice. Basement was musty. Could use airing out. Beds comfortable, comfy couches to relax. Welcome info had to be asked for, then we were welcomed the day after we arrived. Confusing beginning, but smoothed out and questions were answered promptly.

We really enjoyed the property. Very clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the basics were provided. One thing to note is there is a coffee maker but no Keurig. The pool is lovely—there is a guest fee per person. Adults are 15 per person, not sure about children. We ate at Dewey’s Deck our last night and had a good meal. Very close to Woodstock and other area attractions.

Thanks for noting the coffee-maker detail (it’s a standard drip, not a Keurig) and the pool fee; the pool is managed by the community and does have a guest charge—appreciate you sharing the adult rate. Convenient to Quechee

The house was appointed as described in the listing. 4 minute drive to Quechee Ski area. We would definitely go back!

Great house. Large and comfortable with a beautiful deck that had us sitting out for hours on a lovely fall day. We experienced some hiccups however. The rental agency provided a phone number in the event of problems. No one responded to text or call when recycling from the prior occupant wasn't picked up and a bear got into it, leaving trash all over. Hannah at Portoro was great when we finally connected but a contact person needs to be available in the event of problems. A neighbor was very upset about the trash and told my husband she was thinkiing of calling the police. Though he knew that was nonsense, we could have done without the drama. We definitely recommend the house. Just be sure to have back up numbers for the agency.
