On the border of Vermont and New Hampshire, Savage Hart Farm is a perfect place to stay for a memorable visit to the heart of New England.
You'll find a retreat-type setting close to the center of the towns of Hanover, NH, and Norwich, VT in a bucolic locale even the locals talk about. Quechee is 15 minutes away; Woodstock 25 minutes.
This is ideal lodging for parents, alumni, patients and visitors affiliated with Dartmouth College, Tuck, Thayer, CRREL, and DHMC. The perfect place to stay while taking classes at King Arthur Flour - only 5 miles (10 minute drive) away!
DARTMOUTH COLLEGE GRADUATION WEEKEND IS THE 2ND WEEKEND IN JUNE. WE SET UP A TWO-BEDROOM, TWO-BATH APARTMENT AND HAVE A MINIMUM THREE-NIGHT STAY – FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY. THE SECOND BEDROOM HAS A KING BED.

Rental was wonderful - clean, peaceful, comfortable. Todd was easy to communicate with and even gave us a personalized meet and greet with the sheep. My kids loved it! Would for sure stay here again.

This was our second time staying here. To say the property is breathtaking is an understatement. Todd and Peggy are gracious hosts and responsive to needs. This is an exceptional property and the local area is great and offers much to do. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The suite had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. The sheep and grounds are bucolic, and the nearby towns are very charming. And the pet-friendly aspect made this trip possible for us.

Had an amazing stay on the farm while taking baking classes at King Arthur. It was wonderful meeting Todd and Peg. They were gracious hosts and very welcoming and generous with their time, sharing about the farm and letting us meet their sheep.We will be back

My husband and I along with our teenage daughter enjoyed our stay at Savage Heart Farm . Stunning views , Convenient location and all of the comforts of home. We arrived in a snow storm with heavy snow. We were very thankful for Todd and Peggy reaching out to help us with directions in the snow and marking the driveway for our arrival.We look forward to another stay soon.

Wonderful Stay
Todd and Peggy are very personable and attentive hosts. Absolutely beautiful and convenient location. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in every respect!

Short stay in a lovely location
We stayed here for parents weekend at our child’s camp. A beautiful location, very well appointed VRBO. Would highly recommend.

Great spot!
We stayed here for a week of remote work to be near friends. The property was exactly as advertised and was a beautiful place to enjoy views of the area!

Perfect winter getaway
Our family had a great trip! The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful! Great central location. We hope to visit again!

Work trip
Was traveling for work in VT and opted to stay here as it was central to all my meetings. The hosts were excellent, and the property is beautiful. Would love to stay here again on my next trip to VT

Savage Hart Farm’s owner/operators – Peggy and Todd Allen – have turned a beautiful post and beam 4-bedroom home on 32 acres into a working farm with a vacation rental apartment. We moved onto the farm in July of 2012, and only a month later we were joined by our “starter” flock consisting mostly of colored Corriedale sheep. By October, we had built a small barn and installed about 4000 feet of permanent fencing to get us through our first winter. With 25 acres of grass, the sheep have plenty of room to grow. We produce and sell beautiful natural colored and dyed yarns, lambskin rugs, hand-knitted/felted hats, and lamb sausage.
