Thank you for staying with us. We're sorry the condo wasn't what you expected, and we wish you had reached out during your stay so we could have helped. Your trip was also cut short by Hurricane Isaias, and we refunded the unused nights in full, including taxes. We hope you'll give Destin another try under calmer skies.

Great location and easy check-in and check-out! Hosts were great and quick to respond. Everything was just as described and the walk to the breach was super easy. Approximately 4 min walk, paved with signs to the beach. Wonderful trip!

Beautiful condo! The host was very responsive, answering all questions quickly. The location is perfect if you are looking for your own private part of the beach. It had everything we needed!

Walking distance to the beach, clean and friendly staff on site. The place was very clean and parking was easy. We will stay at this location again!

Destin vacation

Spacious condo for family of 6 check it n process very easy; condo had pretty much everything we needed and more. Kids enjoyed living laying destin monopoly. I say access to beach and pool

Great unit close to beach

Enjoyed the more private pool and hot tub right outside our building. Walk to beach is through 2 parking lots and past the main pool. Not far at all. Parking was convenient and not full. Check in was easy.

Condo right in the heart of Destin!

You definitely cannot beat the location of this condo! The communication was great with our host. Directly across the street from Big Kahunas Waterpark, although it was not opened for the summer yet. The condo was clean and the master bedroom bed was comfortable. The main pool, located closer to the beach, was nice with a tiki bar which had drinks and food that were great.

beautiful condo!

The condo was very clean and decorated nicely. Security at the entrance to the property is very strict so have your confirmation handy. There was construction noise while lying on the beach but this could not be helped or addressed by owner. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and highly recommend!

Family vacation

The condo was exactly as pictured. Very clean everything we needed and more for a family of 7. Came with beach towels and beach supplies which were a plus. The only issue we had was the master shower being clogged. The host was very responsive and got it fixed same day. Check in and check out was smooth. 5 min walk to the beach. Will stay again!

Very Nice Condo

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It is in a great location, very clean & although it is not directly on the beach, it does have a beautiful view. The unit was very well furnished with everything we needed for the weekend. It was so nice to sit & catch with friends on the large balcony. It was too cold for the pool but we did enjoy the hot tub. Great overall experience!

Great Stay

We enjoyed staying here very much. The place was clean and well stocked with basic essentials. The owner/agent was very helpful and nice. The only thing I would change is maybe a couple of the pictures of the place. The pictures online led me to believe I was staying on the beach. Instead we had about a 5/6 min walk to get to the beach. It wasn’t bad just cumbersome with our beach gear. Luckily we had borrowed a wagon to help carry our stuff. But the pool at our place was great. So we were in it most of the time. Overall a great stay.

As mentioned clearly in the description and shown in the first few pictures, the condo is located in the Terrace building of the Pelican Beach Resort and it is a couple of min walk away from the beach. In response to your feedback, I have now updated the description of some pictures and added another picture to make the location even more clear.

Summer Vacay June 11-17, 2023

This property truly is in the heart of Destin! Exactly where we wanted to be since our college age kids aren’t old enough to drive the rental car. They were able to walk to places they wanted to go in the evenings. The condo is fully stocked with everything you need to make you feel like you have all the comforts of home. It is very tastefully decorated as well. The owner is extremely prompt in communication. We are only a family of 4 but it would easily accommodate a group of 6-8. We even enjoyed playing some games that the owner has on site one rainy evening. Highly recommend!

Nice Location

This place looked exactly like the pictures! Very clean and well kept. The ice machine was spotty and there was a water leak from the freezer. The dishwasher also had a sour smell, so I hand washed the dishes. When you rent, also consider brining your own paper towels and toilet tissue. Those were the only issues and to be honest, that’s minor. They provided pool toys and beach towels. Quick response from hosts with easy check in and check out. We would love to return.

Vacation atcThe Terrace, Pelican Resort, Destin Florida

We were told the condo was beach front. It was not. The ice maker didn't work, the dryer took about 4 hours to dry a small load of clothes. The rug in the master bedroom had a horrible odor. The cookware was disgusting- dirty and rusted. Then to top it iff, we came home with bed bugs. We will never go through VRBO again. Paid a lot for the condo and the owner didn't seem to care and denied any issues. We were also told there was an indoor and outdoor pool.....no indoor pool was ever found. We were very unhappy. Could not even see the beach.

Hi Donna, Thanks for your feedback. We take all guest concerns seriously and address the issues promptly and effectively. However, during your stay, there was no mention of any of these issues. Eight days after checkout, you sent a message mentioning these issues and asking for a refund. When I asked you to provide some kind of evidence for any of your claims including a serious one like bed bugs, you failed to do so. You kept pushing for a refund and threatened to leave a bad review in retaliation. I had my cleaning crew check on the things you reported and shared the evidence with you that debunk your false claims. It's disappointing to see a review like this. We strive to provide the best experience for our guests and remain committed to do so.
