Whether you are visiting for work or pleasure, you will feel completely relaxed in "The Terrace Retreat". This adorable 2 BR, 1 bath, newly furnished and updated 1940s gem provides all the comforts of home. After a restful night's sleep, wake up to an espresso, tea, or coffee while sitting in the sunroom or outdoors in the peaceful backyard. In the evening, take a walk in the tranquil and safe neighborhood, and close out your evening under the decorative lighting or around the firepit.
This quaint, older home has been fully updated while keeping it's original charm. New exterior with fenced in yard, larger carport, and new concrete patio. All NEW appliances added in 2025, and new windows added in 2023 so that you can enjoy the cooler nights and fresh air filling the home while you sleep.
Enter through the bright and cheerful sunroom, equipped with a sofa with lounger, as well as a large flat screen TV. The natural light shines in through all the windows in this comfy space. There is also a washer and dryer for your use.
Enter from the sunroom, through original pocket doors, into the living room or the kitchen. In the fully stocked kitchen, enjoy the coffee bar equipped with a Espresso Maker, Tea, and dual (drip or single cup) coffee maker. Also provided are all the kitchen utensils and cookware necessary to make a wonderful meal. You may also decide to grill your meal on the easy to use gas grill out on the patio.
There is a small dining area through the kitchen where you can have meals while looking into the lovely front yard.
Down the hall there is a newly updated (9/23) and nicely decorated bathroom with a tub/shower.
The master bedroom includes a cozy King sized bed with lots of natural light. Watch the large flat screen TV or fall to sleep reading your favorite book.
In the second bedroom, relax in the comfortable Queen sized bed while reading or just looking for a restful night of sleep. There is no TV in this room. But there are large TVs in all other rooms for your enjoyment.

We enjoyed our stay and our dogs loved the backyard. It was enough room for the 3 of us and our 2 dogs. Great location near VSU and the neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Will stay again.

Outstanding! The host and the property are both exceptional. She is friendly and very responsive. Her home is exceptional, comfortable and well-maintained. With charming brick and hardwood floors, the home offers comfortable furniture and upgraded linens and a well-equipped kitchen. You will be very happy in this quaint home. As a huge bonus, the yard is spectacular and our pups loved it. Don’t hesitate to book this home. You will not regret it.

Great stay overall. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The fenced yard and fire pit were a nice touch, and the location was convenient to everything we needed. Host was responsive and made check-in easy. Would definitely stay again.

This sweet little cottage did not disappoint. Beautifully decorated, very clean, well stocked and well maintained. The yard is beautiful and the house has all the creature comforts of home. The hosts were easy to reach, kind and responsive. Will def consider staying here again when I return to visit family. The neighborhood is cute, peaceful and in a great part of town. Slept well!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a cute, remodeled older home that still has that cozy, homey feel, but with all the updates you want.The location was perfect for us because Valdosta is our hometown and all of our kids are still there. It was so nice being able to have everyone come over and spend some time together. The backyard was probably one of our favorite things — plenty of room for outdoor games, sitting around visiting, and just enjoying some good family time.And the fact that we could bring Nanuk with us was a HUGE plus! Anyone who travels with a big dog knows how hard it can be to find a place that is both comfortable and dog-friendly. Being able to have him along made this stay even better.We would absolutely stay here again. It was comfortable, convenient, family-friendly, and most importantly, Nanuk was welcome! You just can’t beat being able to come back home, have your family together, and have your four-legged family member there too.

Awe, such a nice, kind review. Of course we welcome pets! It takes a little longer to clean up for the next guest but it’s worth it. 70% of our guests travel with pets.

Charming little house with ample space for our dog to run around in fenced in backyard. Hosts were so helpful and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again when up that way.

This was our 4th time staying here. We always return when we are traveling between Central Florida and Atlanta to break up our trip, give our dogs a break, and add a nice quiet time to our vacation. It is always impeccably clean and is a really nice and inviting home to visit. The neighborhood is peaceful and the hosts are so easy to work with that even when I tell my wife I want to power through, she insists we stay because it always adds a great and quiest night to unwind after family visits.

Lovely, cozy, extremely clean home. Kitchen had everything equipped to meet our needs.Our dogs loved the back yard and sun porch. Absolutely perfect VRBO! Highly recommend. Mary was very helpful and very prompt in messaging.

Very nice accommodations! Walkable neighborhood, which was enjoyed after an 11 hour drive. We only stayed overnight while heading to St Pete the next day, but definitely would be a nice house to stay longer. Will book it again for our next trip to FL.

This place is amazing! It was our second time staying here and we booked it again for Sunday. Its a beautiful house with a huge yard and amazing hosts. It breaks up our trip from Atlanta to Melbourne Fl perfectly and allows us and our dogs a peaceful sanctuary for what would be an unbearable journey. I 100% recommend staying at this quiet and clean paradise in Valdosta

There was a distinct need for a smaller, yet very comfortable, location close to the hospital, college, and Airforce base. We fell in love with this property at first sight. Built in the 1940s, the house holds a certain charm because of its age, but has been fully updated to make it clean and comfortable for our guests. The yard is wonderful, especially in the spring and summer. The surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful and safe.
We put in some unique upgrades, such as the espresso coffee maker, to attract those small groups that may be travelling for work, a special event, or to visit family. For those travelling from Florida to Atlanta, this location makes a great stopping point especially if travelling with pets. There is a minimal pet fee when booking with pets.
