Welcome to Black Bear Lodge! Escape the every day hustle and bustle and retreat to the mountains where you'll enjoy this peaceful dog friendly cabin.

Whether you choose to cozy up next to the fire place sipping your hot cocoa and playing board games, soak in the therapeutic hot tub while listening to the trees whisper, or sit around the firepit making smores you can't go wrong with whatever option you choose.

Refundable $500 security deposit required one day prior to check-in.
The space
This large cabin sits on a luscious wooded 2/3 acre lot with private views. Boasting 4 bedrooms, 3 and 1/2 bathrooms, a media room, a wrap around porch, a second porch on the third level and a large firepit area there is plenty of space for everyone.

The main level features a large and luxurious master suite, complete with a king bed and walk-in closet. The private bath has a separate shower, jetted tub and his and hers sinks.

The fully stocked kitchen has ample cookware, a dining room table for 7 plus the 3 seater bar. The main living area has 20'+ soaring ceilings, a gas fireplace and several large windows and glass doors inviting the outside into the cabin.

Upstairs there are two guest bedrooms both of which have queen beds and one which has a private balcony. There is a small seating area and a full bathroom too.

On the lower level you'll find another bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, a full bathroom, a media room and a bar area with a table and chairs.

All bedrooms have premium bedding and pillows and all bathrooms have premium plush towels. There are two Roku Smart TV's. We offer superfast fiber optic internet and WiFi too!

You'll surely love this large and spacious yet cozy and warm feeling cabin for your relaxing mountain getaway.

Spring Break

My family and I had a wonderful time in this cabin. We had two teens, an 8 month old and two dogs and had plenty of room. The cabin was immaculate with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. We made s’mores over the fire we built in the firepit and also enjoyed the hot tub. It was so peaceful and relaxing that we didn’t want to ever leave. If you want to visit Elijay stay at this cabin. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back!

Family gathering

Every year our family gets together and rents a cabin to spend quality time together. We loved this cabin , beautiful, lots of space , Beds comfortable, hot tub was a definite bonus ! Would come back !

Great getaway in the mountains

Our teenagers had a great time at the rec center and going tubing while the adults enjoyed wine tasting :) Would recommend for a family trip.

Made a Million Memories!

My family and I had a wonderful 5 week stay at this cabin in the woods!! We made so many memories we will be talking about the rest of our lives. Tubing, fire pit talks, cooking out, wilderness walks, wineries, baseball games, concerts, morning coffee on the balcony, seeing all of the deer in CRR, pool time, puzzles, games….etc!! The cabin is very comfortable and welcoming. Beds are comfy and grandkids loved the bunk beds! EZ check-in and owner is very responsive!

Wonderful mountain getaway!!

This was the perfect cabin for our family to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The cabin was well stocked. The hot tub was amazing. The beds were sooo comfortable. If you love deer, there are too many to count as you drive up to the cabin. Loved our stay!

Beautiful Cabin!

We had such a great time staying in Thomas's cabin! We have a larger family, and it was such a blessing to finally find a place where our family could getaway comfortably. The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and Thomas was an excellent host! We weren't able to enjoy any of the accomodations within the resort (they were closed the day we wanted to purchase passes), but Ellijay and the surrounding towns have so much offer... Fun place for a quick family vacation!

Very nice

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The deer there were something else. We enjoyed driving by and watching them. The cabin was well stocked. Thomas was very responsive to any needs we had. Very spacious cabin. Loved the downstairs area for the kids and the dogs. Highly recommend!

Exceptionally Clean and Well-Stocked!

We had a memorable family vacation at this beautiful cabin! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you for supplying us with amazing family memories!!!

Secluded but close to everything - the perfect getaway!

Spring break trip was great! We took a chance on an unreviewed place and took the family (my Lovely Bride, myself, two daughters, one son, plus my son's girlfriend and my daughter's boyfriend). This cabin was the perfect setup. We put the guys upstairs after the girls claimed the bunkroom downstairs, and my Lovely Bride and I took the main floor bedroom. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating for all seven of us in the common areas. We were able to cook dinner, make cocktails, and play games when it was too rainy or cold to be out. We also did some hiking and exploring Ellijay and the surrounding areas. The cabin is about 10-12min back in the Coosawattee River Resort, so it feels very isolated, with only one visible neighbor while we were there, but it's close enough to make a grocery run with only 15-20min driving, and was accessible to town for restaurants and exploring. We hit trails east and west of the cabin and were close enough to drive, hike long, and get back easily for dinner. Reserving, checking in, and checking out were easy! Thomas is responsive and we had zero communication issues. We will definitely keep this cabin in our favorites list and we will be back. The area is beautiful and we think we may try to find our own place up there in the future. For now, though, this cabin is our spot to rent. Happy to provide the first review and give this place the five stars it deserves. Try it - you won't be disappointed.

Relaxing Getaway

The home was well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The check in process was very simple and easy. We had a relaxing stay and had plenty of room for our two families. The neighborhood was very nice and we saw deer everywhere.

My kids are growing up at the beach and I believe in being well traveled and experiencing different cultures for myself and my family. I enjoy sharing what I've come to love with others. I enjoy hosting dinner parties, game nights etc so sharing my cabin is something that comes naturally for me. I'm in general Real Estate so this is what I know and what I'm passionate about.

Who doesn't love the mountains. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of life is important. There's something about relaxing in the mountains that is good for the soul. I visited this place, loved everything about it and purchased it. I'm sure you'll feel the same way once you're here.
