Welcome to the VeloWay Chalet, a cyclist's dream destination! Nestled in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia, our chalet offers the perfect retreat for cyclists of all levels. Whether you prefer scenic paved roads or challenging gravel trails, the area surrounding the chalet is a true paradise for cyclists, with over 300 miles of routes to explore. After a day of riding, relax and recharge in our two-story home, with outside access to the upstairs and a cozy basement "Bike Cave" for cyclists. Our chalet is fully equipped with all the amenities cyclists need for a comfortable stay, including bike repair tools.

We enjoyed the stay and love the place. The host was very nice and understanding. The downstairs air conditioner leaked but once I turned the temperature up, it stopped.

Great Vacation Home

Property was as described and in great condition. The location was peaceful and for us an easy drive to our wedding events. The house had ample supplies if needed. Floyd eas a great town to visit and we always enjoyed their breakfast. I would highly recommend this house h

Great house about 45 minutes to Tech. Hotel rooms were so expensive fior homecoming weekend. We were so glad to stay here because we could all be together and fix a nice dinner after the game. We used the grill on the deck which was a really nice outdoor space. We would definitely stay again. The house is very clean and beds were comfortable. Be very cautious arriving after dark because the roads are like corkscrews. Thank you for your hospitality.

House in Willis

The house was immaculate, the owners are friendly, and the short stay we had caused us to run into Floyd County which was so quaint and lovely that I could seriously see me moving to the area one day. We’ll definitely be booking the house again!

Everything it was advertised

A friend and I stayed instead of camping at the Yoga Jam. Pleasant place to go to sleep and have breakfast (provided) cereal and milk each morning. Planning on staying next year unless we can find a house with a hot tub.

This is a great place for cyclists to stay while enjoying the many riding possibilities in the Floyd area in the beautiful Virginia mountains. It's clean, comfortable and well-equipped for guests who enjoy outdoor adventure, and especially for cyclists. The 2 downstairs bedrooms and downstairs bath are spacious and easy to access for just about anyone. The 2 upstairs bedrooms require climbing an indoor, quite steep and narrow circular staircase, or using the outdoor staircase (not steep, and with normal width steps.) This might be a problem for those w/ young children or with mobility or balance issues. The upstairs bedrooms don't have window coverings. That may be a consideration for those who do not want to wake up when the sun comes up. The loft bedroom with 2 twin beds does not have a door. That may be an issue for some, as you can hear everything that is happening downstairs, and there is no privacy there. The upstairs bathroom is very small, has a tiny shower, and a low ceiling. That may be an issue for tall people who may bump their heads (though there are cute warning signs) in that bathroom and on the circular staircase downstairs. Leg shaving must be done downstairs. With those caveats, I hope to be able to stay at Velo Way again, if I can get some of my Florida cycling buddies interested in doing the Tour de Dirt or the Tour de Floyd with me. It's a great place to stay, you just need to be aware of/ prepared to deal with a few of the quirks in this great cabin.

A real treasure!

VeloWay Chalet is an ideal place to stay near Floyd, VA. It's really comfortably spacious for our family of 4 adults. We appreciated having the many bedrooms and really enjoys the chalet's modern decoration. We weren't able to appreciate many of the activities (books, games, outside fire pit) that they have there, but maybe we will another time. This house is really clean and well cared for. The details that are taken care of made our stay there very easy. It is really well stocked and has everything that was advertised or we could have needed. If we're looking for a house in this area again, my first search will be to see if VeloWay Chalet is available.
