Great Family Accommodations

Perfect for a large family vacation. Lots of extra amenities, bicycles, beach toys, beach wagon, jigsaw puzzles and more. Very short walk to the beach.

Home away from home

The house was nice. Plenary of room for everyone that went on the trip. Short walk to the beach with easy access. Would recommend others to stay here.

Great Rental

Great rental but it has a Very very small kitchen (1 person at a time) and lots of steps. Owner is always responsive to questions

Perfect family beach vacay

We enjoyed our family beach vacation immensely! The location was perfect - close to the beach and the bike path. Everyone had their own space and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals at the house. The beach wagon was a big hit to carry our chairs back and forth to the beach, and the grill was perfect for a night of grilling at the house! We made many great family memories and hope to visit again!

My family had a most wonderful vacation. It was our first visit on St George Island. We especially enjoyed the natural preservation and tranquillity of The Plantation. Also the house met all our needs: comfortable, open floor plan, awesome Gulf view, well equipped, short distance to the beach. We will send you an email regarding next year's dates.

Great Location on St George

Very easy rental process and coordination with the owner. The unit is very basic but provides all the essentials you will need for your stay. The beach and bike equipment provided is a nice touch. The location is wonderful—very peaceful and exclusive neighborhood on the plantation with low density and lots of amenities. Beach access is a peaceful paved walk to a community boardwalk—just a few hundred yards from house to the sand & water.

Warmer winter

Access to ocean very good. Picture in website absolutely wrong. This is not the house we rented and gives very wrong picture of property we did rent.

Wonderful!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Palms. Greg and Vieta were responsive to our needs. When the grill didn’t work, they sent a new one right away. Same with the coffee maker! The property was beautiful. We had several guests come to visit and all enjoyed their time there. While it felt remote, it was easy to get in and out of and fun to use as a base to explore the area.

Very Beautiful Location

Absolutely private and peaceful - can hear and see ocean on decks The house is functional - needs some flooring updates in bedrooms to get carpet out-and exterior needs upkeep- living furniture old Had to clean when arrived- throw pillows and throw rugs need to be thrown out AC works great- bathrooms fine- Walking distance to a great beach that is beautiful- did not use bikes or grill but they are in shed Patio furniture very old and cushions all worn out- Place just needs some attention

Great Place

The location in The Plantation is good, and St George Island is a Florida secret destination. The house is very nice, clean and well decorated. The layout described on-line is inaccurate. The house has three stories: First is storage and "stilts" for storm protection; second is four bedrooms with two baths which open into the adjoining BR's and the entry hall, third is kitchen, LR & bathroom/laundry with morning deck and afternoon deck and screen backyard porch with fan. Access to 3d floor is via stair from ground and circular stair from entry hall. The layout dictates sharing bathrooms and hauling food to 3d floor. Whew!!! Club house pool is delightful; folks from Tenn have discovered St George and they are very nice.

Well-equipped extremely well-located beach home!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It is a basic beach house as far as the decor and furniture, but had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was fast and easy. We particularly enjoyed all of the beach gear, the wagon, the highchair and pack 'n' play for the baby. The location is wonderful, an easy walk to the beach and very quiet and great for relaxing. We really loved the view (which is the first picture in the listing, not to be confused with the house itself). There are couple of small things that need attention but overall it was an awesome stay especially for Spring Break! Note- the no-see-um bugs were really bad at this time of the year (April) on the beach so be prepared!

Great location!!

This house is located in the beautiful plantation. The house had plenty of room for my family to stay. We enjoyed the bikes and beach cart that were provided. Overall the cleanliness of the house could have been better. It appeared as though no one had stayed there in some time. There were dead roaches throughout the house and the kitchen counters and floors were dirty. The furniture was outdated and fairly rundown. I communicated my concerns with the owner while on our stay and they were pretty quick to respond. Overall, our stay was ok. We enjoyed the plantation and all of its amenities.
