This is a 5-star in a great location, but we had a salty experience with customer service. The home has 2 HVAC systems. Upon arrival, the top-floor A/C worked great, but A/C on the main floor (great room, kitchen, primary bedroom) was not working at all. We reached out to Vacasa right away, and they dispatched their non-licensed tech for investigation. The tech confirmed the air handler was not working and that an HVAC pro would need to visit within 24 hours. Fast forward to the next day (24 hours in), and nobody has fixed the AC. Nobody from Vacasa has followed up. Zero texts or calls. I reach back out via Vacasa's texting service, and they inform me their local operations team is working on it. By the next day, I'm physically and metaphorically heated. 48 hours since check-in, and still no AC on the main floor. Afternoon sun bakes the living room. Still nothing from Vacasa - Zero calls, zero texts, zero cares in the world. 3-day weekend ignorance. I send a nasty-gram through their texting service and they again reply that the local operations team is working on it.Upon departure 3 days after arrival, we still hadn't heard from the local operations team. Zilch, zero, nothing. We requested 10% back, but they refused and sent 5% with a canned response. Never an apology call. I own rental properties myself... unacceptable by my own standards. My review is the only way to make them pay for their stubbornly cheap treatment. House is great, though, good luck!
