Private Resort Like Getaway - Close to Wachusett Mountain Ski Resort!

Located in the historic town of Barre, just off the Commons is this unassuming, yet sprawling property. This house features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, seven fireplaces, a large lodge-like family room that doubles as a game room, equipped with pool, foosball, and air-hockey tables as well as a pinball machine and retro arcade games.

Enjoy the day inside or outside! Relax in the indoor heated pool in front of a grand fireplace or entertain outside on the backyard patio with an outdoor grilling station. The mansion comes fully stocked with all of your kitchen needs as well as plenty of bedding and towels for your stay. Please inquire about local catering if interested in continental breakfast or a stocked fridge and pantry upon arrival.

Attending a wedding nearby? We are walking distance to the historic Harding Allen Estate and 4 miles to Hartman’s Herb Farm.

The house was amazing. Plenty of room for everybody

Our stay was very positive. It was a family getaway, and we were all able to stay in the house and enjoy each other. We choose this particular property because we had our grandchildren and wanted an indoor pool and game room. This house accommodates both. We had the pleasure to meet the owner, and she went above and beyond for all of us. If we had any questions, she was a phone call away. We would definitely consider going back. We would highly recommend this property to other families.

Exactly what we needed

This was a great property, and suited our needs perfectly. Expansive, but be prepared for cooler than expected pool water. That said, the surrounding pool area was very warm. The fireplaces that we looked were a perfect addition, and once they get the rest of them figured out, the ambiance will be even better. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to have a quaint getaway with a bunch of friends and family.

Wonderful

The house was gorgeous. I knew it was big but it felt even larger when we arrived. My wife loved the layout of the kitchen and we enjoyed the pool area. Not sure if the pool is supposed to be heated but the water was a little colder than I was expecting at first but it was still refreshing. The kids enjoyed playing in the loft area and game room. It looked like a nice little town as well but we unfortunately didn't have a lot of time to explore. Hopefully there will be a next time for us to be in that area and if so I would definitely consider this house again.

Great Place

My family and I stayed here for Thanksgiving for the second year in a row. The home is very spacious and comfortable for large groups. Everything you need for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are supplied as well as plenty of towels for the pool. All you have to bring is clothes and food. The host is very nice and easy to work with.

Early Thanksgiving

We brought all generations together for a luxurious stay in this perfect place. Kids and adults alike were thrilled for this second time around. Spotless, had all we needed to cook big meals. Our focus was family and it was a true joy to be together in this wonderful space, which allows for lots of different groupings …some come swim, some could hand, some in the game room, or simply easily nap in a quiet bedroom. Absolutely amazing

This property is everything and more than in the listing! So many little details that made it feel like home instantly! It is immaculately well-kept, and well stocked with the necessities and then some! And Suzy was incredible- communication was great, easy to follow and reasonable house instructions, and she even offered to bring anything we needed by! really a gem both owner and property!!!

Amazing stay at a special home

We had a wonderful time staying at this incredible property. Our family had a blast enjoying the pool, game room, and huge kitchen. We made so many memories and can’t wait to go back for the next big family celebration. The house was clean and it was great that everyone had a bedroom. There was so much space and our big extended family had plenty of room to be comfortable.

Long golf weekend

This property met or exceeded all of our expectations. The house is huge and has a lot of great places to hang out. The kitchen is very large and well stocked. The host was very friendly and communicated well. We would definitely stay here again.

What a house

Stayed here with 11 other guys for two nights and had such a great time. The yard is large and the game room is spacious. We loved exploring all 10,000sqft of this sprawling house and really appreciated all the amenities included (12+ pool towels on top of everyone having their own shampoo, soap, and bathroom towel sets). Communication with the host was the best I've ever experienced as well, they had extra baking trays on our doorstep within 5 minutes of asking! We will definitely be keeping this place on our shortlist to revisit.

Very happy!

The house was beautiful, and the pictures don’t even quite do it justice. Was perfect for our annual gathering with friends. The pool was a huge plus! Very clean and provided us with everything we needed for a fun weekend. Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the area!

Beautiful and Spacious

This place is absolutely marvelous! Every step of the way was smooth and we found the host to be helpful and welcoming! I got married at the Harding Allen Estate and having this space close by helped so much, especially for my family who wanted to be close by!

Great home for family getaway.

Unique mansion getaway

My family and friends had a GREAT stay at this mansion! And it truly is a mansion. It is the perfect place to host a family gathering. The indoor pool heater was broken during our stay but my husband and his friends used the opportunity to use the water for an ice plunge lol. There are also so many other games and spaces set up for hosting that the cold pool did not seem to matter. Would definitely book this venue again for a future family gathering. This is such a unique space full of so much character and history. While the floorplan can be a little confusing at first, this space offers so much to explore and discover. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for a great stay!

Walking in to #28Kendall was startling! Beauty, function and loads of space. Beautiful space!!

Pool water TOO COLD. And odd thermostats kept the heat DOWN (including the room housing the pool. We loved all the antiquenessas well as the high end appliances, All in all we loved our stay, the house is remarkable.

Family Wedding Weekend

This house is incredible! We had the best time, enjoyed every room in the house. The family got together for a family wedding and all got to stay together. The house was clean, warm, and inviting. We can’t wait to stay again sometime!

Great Pool!!

This was a great house choice if you want to stay put. Pool area was clean and had plenty of towels and floats. Game room included a large TV, pool table, pinball machines and fireplace. Kitchen included everything you needed. Three bedrooms had full bathrooms. Two more full bathrooms - one in the pool area and one off the kitchen. Also included a half bath in the game room. Plentiful towels and amenities in each bathroom. It would’ve been better if beds were all king sized or at least queen sized. The only problem was with the lights in the game room - several were not working making it dark and difficult to enjoy in the evening. There were many gas fireplaces - just wish they all were in working order with remotes. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
