We stayed in the colonial for a girl's trip (5 friends). The property was perfect. It was clean and quiet. We loved all of the space - leisure time in the living room, game time in the dining room. And we each had our own room. We didn't use the kitchen except for coffee, but it was stocked with everything you could possibly need if you wanted to make a meal. David was very responsive to all of my questions. It couldn't have been more perfect than it was.

This was an excellent choice for our group of 5 adults and 1 child. We had plenty of space, separate bedrooms and bathrooms, and enjoyed the spacious kitchen and dining room together. The drive to the zoo each day was easy, and the delivery services we used had no issues with finding the location. Parking was easy too. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable! The owner was easy to contact through messaging on VRBO, and the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Staying at this location saved us hotel fees and the additional cost of having to eat out. Thank you for your hospitality!

We really enjoyed this VRBO. The house itself is just fun. It’s age and character and flow and size. All of it worked very well for us. We also loved the location. We enjoyed our walks, in the neighborhood and also to ice cream. David was very kind to work with; and he communicates in a timely manner. We had a great time in Omaha and would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place! It’s a beautiful piece of history full of charm and character. Everything was spotless, the layout was fantastic, and the location was perfect...close to so much of what Omaha has to offer. The host was incredibly accommodating and responded quickly to all messages. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Beautiful home. The radiator was not working in one of the rooms so had to borrow a space heater but overall a nice place to stay.

We were in town for a wedding and the whole family was able to stay in this lovely home. The house was wonderful with plenty of room, and a beautiful, well stocked kitchen. We had a great time!

A wonderful stay

This is a terrific place to stay. Located in the Gold Coast area of Omaha, it is a short walk to the Blackstone area with it's dining and nightlife options. The host was easy to deal with and a great communicator. We may very well stay here again in the future.

Perfect Long Weekend Getaway

The house was beautiful and spacious enough to allow for two adults and three teenagers to spread out when needed, but also spend time together in the living space. Great location, extremely quick response from host when any questions arose. Would recommend to others and stay again when in the area next.

Fantastic property for the Berkshire weekend...

The property was beautiful, clean, and well located. Communication with the host, David, was fantastic - he always replies super quickly and was quick to offer local suggestions and help. I will be staying at this or one of his other properties in the future. Thanks for a great stay!

Great stay

This was a great place for our group of 8. It was very clean, and the pictures shown are completely accurate. It was a neat neighborhood and we felt very safe there. It was easy to get to the all the places we were in town to visit from here. Good timely responses from our host too!

I have spent over 23 years in communications and fintech and left the corporate world in October of 2022 to pursue new goals and dreams. My parents were in real estate and the hotel business when I was a young boy and I have decided to get back to my family roots and venture into the hospitality business. Omaha is where it starts but the plans are to grow and reach new people, places and homes that will delight and provide wonderful experiences.

I am drawn to historical areas and properties... its easy to build from scratch and in the suburbs but that is not my desire or passion. I enjoy working with historical properties to bring them back to life, or to provide the ability for others to experience their charm and quirkiness... they all talk and they all have something wonderful to say or tell us about our pasts. The Colonial A Historic Home is no different. It was built in the early 1900's by the now famous architects The McDonalds. A father son team, who built many Omaha mansions, famous downtown buildings as well as the famous Joslyn Museum.

The Colonial A Historic Home, is conveniently located to all Omaha burrows; Gold Coast, Blackstone, Mid Town, Down Town, Old Market, Dundee and Benson... all of these places are either a 12 minute Uber or Lyft or less ride and some like Gold Coast and Blackstone are walking distance. You have easy access to all interstates and beltways to reach any area you so desire. Along with location, you have an updated home with a beautiful kitchen and updated bathrooms to enjoy while sharing memories with your family.
