Loved this well-sized property in Fallbrook, CA. Perfect location in between Temecula and Oceanside. Only 30 minutes from Carlsbad Beach. We loved the pool in the backyard as well. The host was very responsive.

A very Cool Property! The house was clean and I liked the decor. Bed was comfortable in the master. Host was very responsive. We weren’t able to get the shower to maintain hot water., this was the only glitch in our stay. We enjoyed the pool and the property Entry to the property was easy, WiFi was easy to connect to. Smart TV’s a plus! I would choose this property again. Very convenient to the winery’s! Monserate winery was so close and made our weekend a memorable one. Our experience was amazing

This was a girls trip that turned into us supporting our friend during her husbands open heart surgery. So thankful we were able to add a day. It was roomy enough for the three of us. We never got to use the pool, but did enjoy the outside a couple of nights.

The property is nice, well maintained, and overall we enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few issues future guests should know about.We arrived after 8:00 p.m. and found almost all of the doors and windows unlocked. Since there are two other structures on the property, it wasn’t immediately clear whether anyone else was staying there, which made us uneasy. We also found that one bedroom window was broken and couldn’t be locked. Because the property is fairly remote, having an unsecured window in the room where our son was sleeping was concerning. We notified the owners, but no action was taken during our stay.We also had issues with the hot water. We only got about 3–5 minutes of hot water before it turned cold, which was difficult with two young children.One thing I’d like to clarify from another review: there is a washer and dryer, but they’re located in the detached garage, not the house. The hosts let us know after we contacted them because we couldn’t find them. The hosts were responsive and answered our questions promptly.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hosts’ responsiveness. If the security concerns and hot water issue are resolved, this would be an easy property to recommend.

Family Get Away

House was perfect for family stay and to just a bbq for the long weekend. Hank was very responsive and accommodating. We would book this place again!

Great location, but significant safety, health, and maintenance concernsThe property has a great location making a beautiful impression, but our stay was seriously affected by safety, cleanliness, and maintenance issues.After first night, I told Amanda there was no hot water in main bathroom. She advised running the water and slowly turning the dial, but after several attempts it never became lukewarm.The next day, I found a dead bird in the pool, removed it myself, and asked Amanda if chemicals were available to quickly shock the pool so it could be safely used. She did not respond.A couple hours later, I sprained my ankle on stairs with unequal riser heights and no hand/grab rail. The stairs were not shown in the listing photos. I later required medical evaluation, including X-rays, and incurred medical expenses. The secondary shower had an unpleasant smell and visible dark mold-like growth.Because of my injury and the property conditions, I left the next morning to return home for medical attention. Jacob responded the next day and, later in our VRBO chat, told Amanda that VRBO was calling and that she needed to respond immediately. She remained unresponsive for several days, including to VRBO.VRBO asked for my photos, which I provided, and a supervisor told me the property had been flagged for health concerns. Despite the documented conditions, my injury, and VRBO's suggestion of a full refund, the only refund provided by the host was for the one unused night.

LOVELY RETREAT

We stayed here for a family wedding and found the house to be lovely, well appointed, The property and outdoor space is absolutely gorgeous - fabulous plants, and space to enjoy an outdoor oasis. We would stay again and enjoy the area surrounding - Fallbrook and Temecula are easily accessible.

Tropical Retreat

The Canyon Retreat Villa was just as described with lush gardens and amazing entertainment areas both inside and out. Amy and Hank were friendly, available, and unobtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the fall.

Perfect Fallbrook Stay

This house was so comfy. Spacious for my family of 6. Hank and Amy were so nice and accommodating. They let us enjoy some of the oranges and lemons on their trees. They were so good!!! We stayed here for a Fallbrook wedding. It was the perfect place to recharge. Easy access to town/ grocery. Sitting in the back yard was so cozy. Lots of beautiful plants and landscaping. Thanks so much.

Beautiful home

The home was nicely decorated, many personal touches. Outside backyard was inviting and cozy. We enjoyed many neighborhood walks, property on quiet street. We came out to this area for a wedding, and thoroughly enjoyed the area. Owner and management partner were communicative and helpful. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Location was beautiful. View was beautiful. The innkeepers were very helpful and very nice. Outside of house patio’s and greenery were beautiful. Loved all the little places to sit. Very relaxing. House was clean. Bed was uncomfortable. And ice maker didn’t work. And grill outside was not working , dinning chairs were uncomfortable and. There was no gym or washer or dyer as advertised. But all and all had a nice time.
Neighbor cat was friendly and sweet
Outside was relaxing
Flowers and greenery were beautiful
View was pretty

A great and relaxing stay!

The stay was absolutely amazing! The place was very big almost too big for what we needed but it was definitely worth it! Hank and Amy are the grounds keepers and they were readily available for any needs that arose! They even dropped off some fresh lemons they had grown! Hank also found a pair of one of our shoes and offered to ship it back to us! Overall it was a great stay and I would stay here again if I ever come back to California!

Fabulous Family Fub

We were in town for a wedding and could not have found a more perfect home for our stay. It met all of our needs and then some. Hank and Amanda were so helpful and responsive. The pool area and patio off the house are so peaceful and serene, it was a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of a wedding. The home is clean and well stocked. Would most definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Extremely satisfied, and recommended place, my children had a lot of fun, a very calm place and the space large enough, Amy and her husband are very friendly people and answered all our questions while we were there, everything very clean I felt very happy to spend a few days with my family and close relatives who came to visit us while I was there, my children's cousins had a lot of fun..

Wonderful Stay

My wife and I along with another couple stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. We arrived on a Friday and left on a Monday. The house was as expected. The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathrooms were well supplied with all the necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again without question. Hank and Amy (the couple that manages the property and live in a house in the back) made us feel welcome and let us know that they were available when needed.

Hilltop Oasis

A fantastic property for our family getaway/wedding weekend in Temecula. Property was beautifully curated, welcoming and clean, and exactly what we needed for our home away from home. One night it rained and the covered patio(s) provided the perfect spot to enjoy the rainfall. The communal areas are welcoming and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the size of all the bedrooms. Great property if you have kids: the pool is large with lots of seating around and the citrus trees on the property provide a fun activity for picking & juicing. If we return to the area, we would definitely stay here again!
