Walking distance to the beach and a lovely sunset view. The floor was a bit sandy but as long as you have slippers/ socks it’s fine. There is no water filter in the fridge or elsewhere so bring bottled water if you do not drink tap water. With only one bathroom it can be a little tricky if you have multiple guests but it worked out okay for us. Really appreciated the extra beach towels and being able to rinse off outside. Decently accessible area for public transportation. There is a bus station close by which is about a 6 minute ride away from the Carlsbad village station if you want to take the Coaster commuter rail all the way down to San Diego.

Perfect location and views. Comfortable property layout with good sized rooms. The front deck was ideal for use throughout the day and evening. Walkable area with easy beach access. Short drive to amenities. Host was responsive.

Livin the Beach Life

Great location, house was perfect for us. Walking to all our favorite locations. Easy to get your steps done on the beach walk trail. Stormy was a great host.We look forward to returning again soon.

location is the star of this property. Home is older and dated but the decor was nice.2 bedrooms were comfortable, 3 bedroom is a converted garage which still had garage feel. (rafters exposed, laudry and water heater in room)the back yard needed maintenance (mow, and weeds)the deck is amazing for view of Tamerack beach and short walk to sand. Spent most of the time on the deck.the home is on a busy street so traffic is to expected.Need to be aware of fees, pretty steep.

The location is perfect, but the place wasn’t the cleanest, dishware most specifically. The extra bedroom is a little confusing as it’s off in a converted garage. The location to the beach and the front deck made up for the other shortcomings for us.

The view of the ocean was very nice. It's very conveniently located next to the entrance to the beach. Everything was extremely dirty, especially the floors. There is not a vacuum or broom anywhere on the property so no way to remedy this. The owner of the property stop by unexpectedly to drop off an umbrella, seemed like an excuse to see us and/or what we were doing. Strange.

Unbelievable

Absolutely charming cottage literally with beach front view. The cottage makes you feel like the good old days . Gorgeous window view from the living room to the ocean. Would like to say more, but it did exceed expectations!

Enjoyed our days close to the beach with our grandson and his Mom and Dad….just a little walk down the street to the beach and no worry about parking. We sat out front most evenings and enjoyed the cooler part of the day. We had everything we needed.

Clean older house with amazing front patio with clear ocean view. Plenty of windows to open and ceiling fans to stay cool in the summer. Great location with immediate beach access. Very attentive hosts. We had a blast.

Walk down to the beach boardwalk and take it north into the village where you will find great boutiques, gift shops, yoga studios, bakeries, restaurants, bars, coffee and Ice cream shops. South east of here you'll find the Carlsbad lagoon where you can rent, jet ski's, pontoons, kayaks, and paddle boards. The choices are limitless!
