This charmingly renovated cottage on Lake Michigan's Big Bay de Noc includes 240 feet of private sandy beach!

This property is located next to the Sunset Beach House (VRBO #4319090) and can be rented concurrently.

Available to rent year-round, the cottage includes both air conditioning, and forced air heat and pellet stove.

Located about 40 miles east of Escanaba, with easy access to trails for snowmobiling and 4-wheeling.

Well-stocked kitchen and gas grill.

Beautiful sunsets all year. Enjoy them in the summer sitting on the porch swing or by the fire pit on the beach.

SPECTACULAR SUNSETS!

Other than the shower needing a quick cleaning Soni could utilize the seat in it, and having to carry in 40lb bags of pellets (cause I'm a wimpy old-ish (50) woman ), I LOVED the sunsets!!!! ...and EVERYTHING else! about

Late Fall On Lake Michigan

This was our second year staying at this cabin. We really like the views on the lake and the sunsets. The pellet stove is an awesome touch. The cabin overall is very accommodating and has everything we need with all basic provisions and more.

Cozy pet-friendly cottage on Lake Michigan

We and our two dogs enjoyed our 5-day visit to this charming log-style cottage on the Lake Michigan shore. We woke up each morning to a beautiful view and the sunsets were spectacular. Our first few days were cool and rainy outside, but warm & cozy inside with the wood pellet fireplace. The cottage is updated with modern appliances and everything you need to do your own cooking. When we had a glitch with the internet due to a recent power outage, the owners, Patrick & Heather, were very helpful, first trouble-shooting by phone & then arranging for a technician to come the next day. We enjoyed visiting Indian Lake State Park, Kitch-Iti-Kipi Spring, Manistique Boardwalk & historic Nahma, all nearby. Overall, a great stay!

Just as expected

Wonderful….. My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. We look forward to staying here again. Five stars.

Great cabin

Fantastic Cottage

Our family enjoyed the first weekend in October at this cottage and it was perfect. Bonfire and s'mores, dinners, board games, exploring the area and getting that much needed family time. We will most definitely be back!

Just Okay

We arrived on a beautiful afternoon and the cleaning crew was running late so we decided to take our dogs down to the beach. Well, what was supposed to be 240 feet of beautiful sandy beaches was albeit beautiful but was anything but a beach. It was many months of grasses growing and mossy marsh leading out to hundreds of feet of shallow waters. While the rest of the property was over the top, this really ruined the entire trip for us. Never even went in the water. :((

Great location for day trips

The cabin is clean, stocked with all of the amenities you could need, and within an hour or two of all the sights and attractions of the U.P.

Amazing Sunsets

This cabin was excellent for our family with three college age kids. They had plenty of room plus also enjoyed the large yard and camped outside a couple of nights. The pristine water and beach area was so relaxing. We enjoyed bonfires nightly as we watched the amazing sunsets. Then the moon shining over the water. We also saw the northern lights the first night. The weather was perfect we went Aug 10-16 no black flies. The home owner really thought of everything you would need in a kitchen and supplied paper products. Beds and pillows were outstanding and comfortable furniture. Very clean home. The water was clear and shallow with a sandy bottom. We drove north an hour to Munising for a boat tour of Pictures Rocks. Went to Fayette State Park that has a historic town was only 25 min away. Also, went to Kitch-iti-Kipi only 20 min away. Escanaba was only 45 min. So perfect. Location. We would definitely stay at this house again. We had a wonderful week.

Great Place to Stay!

I had a great week staying here with my boyfriend and our dog. The cottage is on the water and has beautiful views. I enjoyed sitting by the water and reading a book. So peaceful. The lake has a sandy bottom, and the sand bar goes out pretty far. We loved exploring the area and took trips to Pictured Rocks, Fayette State Park, Benny the Beard Fisher and Kitch-iti-kipi. The listing was very accurate. The cottage was very clean, and the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. I loved how the cottage was dog friendly! There were food bowls, a food mat and bags outside to pick up after your dog. We had a great time and would book again!

A s;ice of heaven in the UP!

My wife and rented the cottage for the 2nd year in a row – this time for 2 glorious weeks. The accommodations are excellent – kitchen, appliances, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The view and lake access are beautiful and great for wading and playing in the water. The sunsets are breathtaking! The Roomba, grill, and kayaks most excellent accessories. We look forward to another summer sojourn at the Sunset Beach Cottage!

Beach cottage on Big Bay de Noc

Beautiful location. The sunsets were breathtaking. The beds and other furniture were comfortable and clean. Loved that there was a Rumba. It made keeping the floors clean a lot easier. Nice, newer dishes and appliances. We have a couple concerns about this rental 1. The refrigerator was as full of un needed condiments. The door had been left slightly ajar and we thought it best to not keep them. 2.The dishwasher was not clean. The door had food stuck to it and mold along the top. 3.our biggest disappointment was the beach. All the photos we saw on the listing had a beautiful sandy beach. In reality the weeds were in abundance and it made it hard to actually get in the water. 4. The toilets were occasionally clogged and it was necessary to use the provided plunger to unclog them. Fortunately on Tuesday morning the septic tank company arrived and did their job and we had no more problems.

Fabulous getaway!

Walking into this cottage was like I had been there before. The pictures are so accurate. Everything was just great. We had a fabulous time even though I didn’t get a chance to use the kayak. We did check out the historic Fayette Village state park. Also went to see the Big Spring Indian Lake. We would love to come back here again, in fact, I could just move in. The only thing was the pots and pans were not the best. Thanks for everything. Great place!

Been traveling to this area for 35 year's and this cottage is best equipped so far. The location is convenient to fish big bay de noc reguarding weather conditions you can access boat ramps easily. Our stay was 2 weeks and enjoyed the sunsets and fire pit at waterfront. Thank you.

Peaceful retreat in a beautiful location

My husband and I rented this beautiful cottage as a place to relax after finishing the work of packing up and selling our house. We were pretty exhausted and needed time to just “ do nothing” and plan our year of travel. We can’t say enough about the cottage. The beds were so comfortable and the pellet stove provided a cozy warmth while we sat in the living room enjoying the sunset in the evening. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in. It was a pleasure to eat our meals at the cottage rather than go out to a restaurant. The beach front has a lovely wooden bench swing , picnic area, and fire pit . There is plenty of space to walk and explore the lake- great place to walk the dog. Though we were here to relax, this place is perfect for a family on a summer vacation looking to swim, fish, and have fun. We met or goal of relaxing and enjoyed every minute here. The owner was very responsive to our needs and easy to communicate with. There was no downside to our stay.

Amazing

This place is exactly as described and in my opinion even better! If you're looking for a nice private getaway this is a great place to go! My favorite part was having a bonfire right on the beach. It was so relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable too! Everything was just really perfect for my family. We will definitely be coming back when its warm so we can get in the water but even while its cold out i would still go back here again and again! Checking in was a million times easier and less hassle than a hotel and communicating with Heather, our host was very easy. She was very generous with checking in early and explained everything perfectly. I will be recommending this place to as many people as i possibly can for sure
