We arrived 3 hours after check-in and the house was not ready. The Cleaner/ house manager said it had no power, that there was construction, then said the previous guest left a huge mess. She was busting her butt to get it cleaned and offered the place next door to stay out of the heat. The owner only gave a short sorry and that she was running behind. It would have been nice to have a complintary dinner or something for our wait after a long car ride to get there. My husband was livid. With that being said, the house was workable and was decorated nice. Two L-shape couches downstairs with 2 big TV, 's where we all could watch what we wanted or enjoy space without noise, if needed. The fans and ac kept it cool, but the upstairs bedrooms did have a weird musty smell. There were plenty of extra linens and pillows. Which came iThe kitchen needs an upgrade with cooking pans and items to make the stay more comfortable, such as baking dishs and items for storing food, tin foil, tupperware etc. No coffee creamer on hand , or a plethera of spices or things of that nature. No laundry soap pods on hand to do laundry. Shower temperature was great. Hot and lasted long enough. We did not have time to use the hot tub, but I would recommend a deck around and under it it giving it a cleaner appearance even a rocky path, Also, Some cute porch furniture to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine would have been nice too. Just some thoughts.

What a cute little home in an equally cute town

We really liked this little home. Bright, well remodeled and really great use of space. Held our family of 4 very well, and was a pleasant halfway stop close to lots of shopping and restaurants in Sylvania.

Nice And clean

Was as described. I would stay again. We were given wrong check in code but luckily they answered their ring doorbell and we were able to get in.

Perfect for Girls Night

Came to the area to check out the Christmas Stores in West Unity, Ohio. Enjoyed this house for an overnight with friends.

Cute and clean!

4 of us stayed overnight while in town for a funeral. The home is very deceiving from the outside- super cute interior with two nice sized areas for gathering and hanging out. With 1.5 baths we got creative with making space for everyone to get ready at the same time and had no issues . We appreciated the simple and easy check in and check out process, and having a place for everyone to decompress in the evening.

DOUBLE BOOKED!

After researching, booking and paying for this property weeks in advance, we arrived at the house to find another person there! Couldn't contathe host-her # listed was disconnected. Awful experience, reservation cancelled, very stressful to figure out last minute lodging. Bad way to start what should have been a celebratory weekend.

Lovely little place

We stayed overnight for a wedding. I had a little bit of a challenge getting ahold of the host but a quick chat with VRBO got me the correct number and Anita Kay was more than accomodating. She allowed for an early check in which was so nice. The house is really cute and clean. I was really pleased with that. The neighborhood is a little run down but wasn’t a problem in any way. My kids slept upstairs in the 2 bedrooms and loved the loft feel and said the beds were comfortable. I was so satisfied with this whole stay especially since the last VRBO we stayed at was utterly filthy and I was so nervous about staying at a rental again. Don’t hesitate to book this place. It was a great space for our family of 6!

Double booked and out of luck

Didn’t get a chance to actually stay at this property as they double booked on another rental site. The two hosts tried to support the mix up initially, but then just stopped communicating completely until I contacted VRBO. Super disappointing. House looked cute if they didn’t have another guest staying there. We got a refund but were left trying to find something last minute. Will not book with them again.

Our great loss. I am so sorry. VRBO has been working with us since adding our homes on their site to merge calendars. It has been challenging with 20 properties and I believe this is the last property to merge but for some reason is still not showing up on both calendars. So frustrating and I can not apologize enough. Lease come back for a free nights stay and let us convince you this is a great place to stay. Again, our apologies.

Do not stay here! We walked in the house around 10PM on a day that the high temperature was around 90 and there were added fans downstairs and up, all ceiling fans were on. We just knew this was sign. The upstairs was a furnace!!! Contacted the owner and was told she’d bring a window ac the next day. There was only one window in the house that could fit a window ac and it was in a bedroom upstairs. We attempted to place a borrowed one in for the night and were terrified the window would fall out it was so old and bad. Went to take a shower and the liner was so mildewed it was stiff. The main bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way it’s so warped. The doors to the “bedrooms” upstairs were not even 5’10” at the tallest part of them, which was 3” wide. It says no pets, but there was a pet bed and remnants of pet food in the garbage can next to it. We left first thing the next morning after sleeping on a couch since the upstairs was in no way habitable. The only vent in the one room was behind the pillows in the bed. Owner said they’d refund us the nights we didn’t stay. We haven’t received a penny! She won’t respond and VRBO won’t do anything. We have never given a bad review before, but trust the negative reviews on here, this place is not worth your time. And we haven’t even mentioned the horrible bed in the first floor bedroom that has zero support in the middle so you roll into each other! Stay somewhere else!!!!
