This large 4 bedroom house sits on 10 wooded acres. We have everything you will need for the entire family and are kid and baby friendly.

Your family will love the screened in main deck, wood fireplace on main floor, sand box, fire pit, outdoor dining, fruit orchard, and acres of hiking. There is plenty of space to park your boat and enjoy nature. Starlink internet available.

The primary suite has its own balcony, fireplace and home office on a secluded third story.

Sofa bed is Queen, and is located in the basement living room. Best suited for children or small adults. Basement bedroom has a rollaway twin in the closet. Both of these beds can be made up on request.

The wooded location of the home is phenomenal. The home is older but beautifully updated. The pool table and card table in the basement were a hit. We enjoyed all the windows to view the outside beauty. The home gets nicer with every floor. The basement has some older carpet with stains, but the main floor and the upstairs are very nice.

The house was a beautiful 18 min drive from Nauvoo. A 14 minute drive to the Walmart in Keokuk and lots of different restaurants. 16 min from Carthage jail.The pictures are accurate it’s a quirky little home. The pool table was nice and there’s plenty of space to sit and enjoy each other’s company.There are only two small problems which would be the stairs coming up as one step that is taller and so we kept tripping over that. The last problem area is that spiral staircase heading up to the master bedroom. Is very and would be hard to bring a large suitcase up and down. We had a small suitcase and it was still a bit sketchy. We i’m so wish there had been a door on the master bedroom. If you have a lot of people visiting downstairs, would not be quiet in your room.Otherwise, the house was enough everything yet out in the middle of the woods where you felt you were private with no neighbors.

Very nice property in the trees and the river view. Really did like it and kiddos said they liked it. Fire flies! First time the kids were able to experience catching fire flies. Would be nice to know that the upstairs master and bathroom shower do not have any doors for privacy. Steep winding staircase (which is cool) but made the wife nervous for the younger children.

Clean, comfortable and spacious. Was perfect for our family to gather over the Christmas holiday. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We happened to overlap with the local woman who manages the house, and she was delightful as well.

Amazing place to stay. We stayed with my family and my brother in law's family. 9 of us fit very comfortable. The place is beautiful and the property as well.

I was in town to have a girls weekend with a total of 6 women. The description listed a separate bed for each of us but upon arrival we could not locate 2 of the described beds or sheets for them. We also only had 6 towels between all of us for 4 nights. The house was not cleaned as there was debris on the floor from the previous guest. This was disappointing as check in was 6 pm and check out is 11 am. The design of the house is not safe as some stairs felt loose as you went between floors. This was problematic as the railing going up the stairs felt loose as well and some stairs had no railings at all. The tub in the basement was not designed for women who are 5'4 as you need a step ladder to get in and out of it. The walk-in shower on the top floor was a challenge to get to due to dangerous stairs and had no door to the bathroom despite having enough room to have one. The house had black flies everywhere and they were constantly in everything. The host was slow to respond to all messages and blamed the condition of the house on previous guest. I don't expect much, I want clean towels for all guest and I want the number of beds I paid for. I did not get either. We ended up going to Walmart to get sheets, towels and blankets. The host did offer to reimburse me for the towels but the point is if the listing says 11 people can stay the night then you should have enough towels for everyone times 2 so they can at least wash them if the stay is longer than overnight.

Hi Theresa, I'm very sorry your stay was anything less than perfect. Our house offers 4 bedrooms with king, king, queen and double beds. In addition we have a couch bed that is a queen and a twin roll away. Both of the additional beds are best suited to kids as they are not advertised as being available in private rooms. As I let you know sheets are available in a dresser on site, and are clearly labeled as to which bed they go to. I do apologize extra towels were left in the drier, but I did let you know less than 2 hours later. I suggest that all guests read the descriptions thoroughly before they book, as this house does have a lot of stairs and isn't appropriate for all groups. Thanks

Great place and amenities

Tons of room to spread out and relax, enough parking for a truck and trailer. My Pella crews travel all over and this house worked for us.

Great house, great view

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. The host was very quick to respond to our questions. Would highly recommended and I would love to stay again.

Exceeded Expectations

This place was very nice. Its rare that the property is better then you see in the photos, but this place exceeded expectations. You could tell the property owner went above and beyond to make the stay nice. Would stay here again.

Great getaway

Stayed with friends for a few days. Nice house. Very private. Some nice restaurants around. Highly recommend breakfast at Fort Worth.

This house has amazing views of the river from every room. Nestled back in 10 acres of forests you will feel like you are on your own private estate. With two large decks, two big patio areas, a large open concept kitchen and living room area and a family game room you will have no shortage of places to hang out and spend time with the family. When its time to get away, this house has a master suite with its own balcony, a home office, and a newly renovated en suite bathroom.

This house has been completely remodeled as of spring 2023, and it shows. Its beautiful, clean and instagram ready.

We have all the accessories that small children require, so you won't need to travel with them. Just ask!
