We appreciated the communication from Bryan, including a road closure notification which altered our plans a bit. Such a great location and the cabin was perfect.

Family Vacation

The cabins were in a great location close to the beach and trails. It was quiet and serene. The interior of the cabins have a cottage style exterior and interior which we like.

Great place to stay

Property was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and cosy, with a great beach view. We had our 2 pups with us, and showed up to find dog bowls, towels, blankets, and a couple treats waiting for them. Really good place to stay, we will definitely be back. The place was quiet with great access to beaches and nice walking trails.

A Few Days in Ukie

We had a great time at the Terrace Beach Salty Dog Cabin. The view was incredible and the amenities were just to our liking. With steps away from the Wild Pacific Trail we could enjoy the outdoors whenever we wanted. The lighthouse sounds in the distance provided beautiful ambiance to the mornings and evenings on the decks

Truly On The Beach

Fantastic property in a great location. Property was as advertised. Remote check-in flawless and very accommodating. Two balconies overlooking Terrace Beach....right on the Wild Pacific Trail. Kitchen was incredibly appointed for size. Cozy spot to get away. Can't recommend enough.

We had a great time at this cabin. The views from both balconies were amazing. The short walk down to the beach and Wild Pacific trail made it a perfect spot in Uclulet. It was two couples and our small pup. There was ample room and beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels (even for our dog). The small kitchenette had everything to prep food. Overall it was a great place to stay. Look forward to doing it again in the near future.

nice spot great view

we like the place but as 70+ yr olds there were lots of stairs and ramps from parking area and in the living space. probably this was clear from the pictures but perhaps underline this with older guests, otherwise great and well stocked and provided.

Absolutely beautiful location

We were spoiled with perfect weather for our recent stay. We also got to witness the annual herring spawn right from the balcony as it took place right in the inlet at Terrace Beach this year! There were sea lions and we even saw a fair amount of whale activity just outside the inlet, while enjoying some refreshments on the upper balcony. The place was great for a family. Lots of space and you don’t feel like you’re disturbing anyone with young kids. We’ll be back again one day!

What a view!

We absolutely loved our time in Ucluelet and our stay at The Salty Dog certainly enhanced our experience. The cabin offered everything we needed and more. I will miss beginning my morning with a cup of coffee while watching the tide rise from the balcony. A short stroll to the beach or 15 steps to a trailhead made this cabin perfect for us.Bryan is also a tremendous host and was very responsive with any questions we had. Without question, the next time we’re in the area, The Salty Dog will be our #1 option.

Everything was great. The only little thing was being asked to clean the dishes. While we only left a couple of things, we were under the impression that we had paid for the housekeeping.

A beautiful location, right on the beach! Great communication from the owner. My only con are the extremely squeaky floors, stairs and beds. This might seem silly, but with such an open concept, it was very loud for a family of 4. Other than that, parking was easy and the community very welcoming.
