Exactly halfway between the Obama Presidential Center and downtown. Perfect for large families or groups of professionals attending McCormick Place Convention Center events. Modern kitchen and large dining and living rooms create a perfect space to gather and relax after taking in Chicago's many sites. High-speed internet, free street parking, jacuzzi tub in master bath, convection oven, play area for children, and many other amenities. This is a two-unit building; the second unit is an occupied small garden apartment with a separate entrance.

The home is gorgeous! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was excellent and very responsive. The home was very entertaining as well, plenty of things to view, read, or marvel at - when I go back to that area, I'd stay again.The home was comfortable and the host anticipated our comfort needs and accommodated without us even asking - extremely nice touch of hospitality. Thank you for a great experience and comfortable stay.

Great stay

Our stay at this property was fantastic. A nice historical neighborhood conveniently located near downtown Chicago. We had a group of 10 individuals and could comfortably all rest in the house. The owners were very kind and accommodating. Would definitely book again.

We had a women's retreat in Chicago and this home was PERFECT! So full of history and character! The owners laid everything for us! The amount of intentionality they put into hostingbis unmatched! I would absolutely stay here again!

If you like traveling but always miss the comforts of home, then you haven’t stayed in this beautiful home in Chicago. Hosts were anticipatory in their communication, answering questions before they were asked. The home has everything g you’ll need during your stay and is a short walk to the lake, McCormick Place and a quick uber to downtown. We stayed during a stressful week of business and having this home extended to my team and me was a gift to have a place to relax, enjoy the outside patio, or spacious kitchen, dining and living rooms. We will be back!

A wonderful experience!

Their home is warm and inviting just like they were. We loved all the details, pictures, books, and quilts. It felt like home away from home. Also, the backyard was charming. Great location! A must stay place if you're in Chicago!

Chicago Convention

Beautiful property in a cute neighborhood. Marianne and Jeff were accommodating, attentive and welcoming. My colleagues and I throughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifullly decorated home.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Chicago for a wedding. The house is beautiful- the pictures don't reflect how lovely it is! (Sometimes pictures are better than the real thing, but in this case it's the opposite.)The house is spacious and comfortable. There were 6 adults, ranging in age from 26-89 and it worked out very well. The beds were comfortable, showers great, so many books to read and games to play! We didn't have a car so used Lyft to get places, or to get to the trains. The walk to the train from the house was a bit longer than my 89 year old mom was able to do. Overall it was a fabulous place for our group to stay. Highly recommend it!

Lovely home in a nice neighborhood

I went to Chicago with a group of friends. We wanted to stay in a place that had nice spaces for gathering together as well as a kitchen to having breakfast in. The outdoor space was so lovely to have our morning coffee and enjoy each other's company. Loved how it was right next to a park so I could go for a morning walk before we got our day started. The tenants were so pleasant and the house felt so comfortable and welcoming overall.

Fabulous, comfortable and homey!

Our family loved this house for a summer concert weekend in Chicago. All three generations enjoyed the outdoor patio, the ample children's toys and the elegant, but homey space. Big kitchen designed by someone who loves to cook is a plus. Also walking distance to multiple train lines too! Two playgrounds within 5 blocks. Can't ask for much more.

Amazing home

This home was so comforting for me and my older children. There was only a tv in the living room, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. My adult/teenage children had a blast with the games and my grandson loved the toy house!! The space was like a dream for my family!! Thankful

Southern Chicago Charm

This house was in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Everyone was so sweet! Marrianne and Jeff are absolute gems that replied fast when we had questions and had great recommendations! The house was spacious and clean with a lot of amenities. The back patio/ garden was a nice relaxing spot as well. Checking in and out was an easy process. Ubers were readily available and the Uber rides were short! The L is not too far either if you don’t mind walking. Good walking distance to the grocery store and places to eat as well!

They are enthusiastic supporters of Chicago and anxious to host guests from around the world in their lovingly renovated historic home on Chicago's near South Side.

A beautifully restored and modernized 1886 building close to downtown is a perfect place for large family gatherings, a group of friends, or business travelers who need easy access to McCormick Place Convention Center. The large, fully equipped kitchen features a double electric oven (one convection) a gas stovetop, a kitchen-aid mixer, baking supplies and more. A deck, grill and garden in the backyard provide a perfect setting for outdoor meals. Very high speed internet allows for multiple people to be online with no delays. Full streaming services available in living room.
